How does the game determine which item/gold option goes to which character? I have had moments where I start a battle, kill everything myself, yet my friend will get the item and I will have shared the gold.

I basically want to play a solo run while the one that is Resume is for my buddy and I - will I lose it if I use new game?

I asked this on reddit as well. I'm curious to know what aspects of the game, gameplay or otherwise, frustrate you most when playing ftk

I was doing fine, it was hard but doable. But then I got to the city of Parid with it's related quest, and the game has risen in difficulty a lot , the enemy's seem to have double the HP and damage output. I am following the game story, not rushing while doing some side quest, also I have kept chaos down to nothing but it seems I might have jumped the gun somehow and am now way in above my head. What am I doing wrong, or is this as far as the game has decided I'm aloud to go and is killing me off?...

1. Why isn't my third character joining the battles? For the first battle, I believe he was just as close as the other person, literally on the same square. Two battles, now, and I only had the two characters. 2. When walking along normal paths, I get random encounters. These happen even if I've already walked on that square. Is it just like, every time you take a step there's a chance for something to happen? If so, why not just keep walking in circles? I'll probably have more as I go. Thanks for the he...
