I have never beaten a FNAF game before. I've played the first one waaay, waaaaaay back but got scared of it. Into the Pit, however, was so much fun. It's challenging enough, but more so in a "Damn it, I pressed the confirm key why didn't that door open" kind of way (which caused me several attempts at Nightmare Mode).

I like this game a lot. But it does leave some to be desired, like the sounds being too hard to discern with how the music amps up when you just need to listen the footsteps and the doors opening and closing. I love the animation on the sprites, though. For an adaptation of a FNAF story, this is really, really well done. And all the secrets and easter eggs? They were pretty cool to uncover and see.

The fact that it is playable without any tinkering on the Steam Deck (where I did all my playthroughs on) was an added bonus. I did encounter some lag and stuttering near the end of trying to get all the achievements (right after I beat Nightmare Mode), though.

I can't wait to see what other stuff Mega Cat Studios will cook up for this franchise.

As someone who grew up with Suikoden, I am extremely happy with how this game came to be. Sure, it's not perfect--there are bugs and glitches from time to time--but it checks all of the things I love about JRPGs and Suikoden. It also works really well with the Steam Deck, which is a bonus.

The dialogue, although light at times, does not take away from the heart and soul of the story. The characters are all very diverse, each with their own personalities that the voice acting breathes life into. The artwork is nice as well and there are a bunch of characters that reminded me of the others I've encountered at having played all the Suikoden games. There are moments I actually burst out laughing and moments when I was somber and angered on behalf of the characters I am journeying with. I particularly like Francesca, Ymir, and Perry--from the new roster. But my faves will always be the OG trio: Garoo, CJ, and Isha because they introduced me to the lore and the adventures to be had in this world.

The battles can drag a bit, though. And the teleportation can get a bit annoying with the added dialogue every time you warp someplace. The minigames are all so fun, albeit a bunch of them requires farming for things that can help you through--like the money needed to purchase cards, finding the recipes, and farming enemy drops for beigoma. There's something about the overworld music that makes me remember Wild Arms, though, but I don't really know why that is.

I really do love everything there is in the game, and I feel like I would be replaying Suikoden again (for the umpteenth time) right after I beat this game, and the NG+.

Early Access Review
Palworld is an interesting mix between Pokemon's creature capture and raising (and also the infamously clone-y way the Pals look to the Pokemon...despite the fact that Pokemon are, of themselves, caricatures and clones of other creatures with basic designs) and Ark: Survival Evolve with but a very simple (and somewhat lackluster) base building (seriously, the base building part requires a tons more work to be more enjoyable than its current state).

Despite it's popularity and the curiosity piqued that inflated the players willing to give this a try (with some leaving soon after), it is best to note that what you see in trailers and on other people's gameplay is just a what they want you to see...and I am saying this to those who will be easily bored by the game's repetitive (some would say "grindy") nature without first looking up what kind of game it is inspired by. It's not just "Pokemon with guns", despite that being what appears to be the marketing strategy of the game.

It also has a few quirks that needs ironing out (passable, with it being in early access and all). After 4 hours of playing, though, I am a bit hooked (more so than I was with ARK). I just really wish there was more to base building (again, I'm pointing at ARK since I was able to have fun with it in that aspect of the gameplay). It also has bugs that are infuriating as well as pathing issues with your Pals.

It's not a game for all, but again, it's a game that I would recommend to my friends just because I am having fun with it and I hope to have fun with them as well.

Also, I would like to mention that this works with the Steam Deck right out of the box, but it eats up quite a lot of battery (2 hours on default settings) and the fans are so loud while playing it. Limiting to 30FPS and low settings will prolong the battery life, but the fan will still remain to be noisier than my PS5.

Persona 3 Portable, although lacking in the content provided by FES in the form of "The Answer", is still a nice enough major Persona title to dabble in for the first time as it features the option to give Direct Commands to your allies that was not present in the Vanilla version of the game.

Originally released for the Playstation Portable, the addition of achievements is the only notable thing about this port. Everything else falls the same. Regretfully, the achievements seem to be bugged as I had the displeasure of not being able to get 2 Story-related achievements already. Thankfully, I still need to do another playthrough regardless (for the Male MC) so I have another chance to get them. It should be said to make plenty of back-up saves if you are already on your second playthrough and have encountered the same issue.

Unlike the PS2 versions of the game (both Vanilla and FES), Portable doesn't have animated cutscenes...or ones that feature 3D models. What they have is a visual novel-esque approach where you only see stills from the animated cutscenes and/or just plain CG renders of background from the 3D cutscenes. It's one of the disappointing things about this that sets it apart from the other ported Persona games.

Still, if you are looking for a first title to dive into, P3P is a good place as any to start. It has a great story, interesting cast that Persona games are known for, and head-bopping music to go along with all the grinding you would need to do in order to get the most powerful of persona's from each arcana.

Now, I'm hoping they port the 3DS persona games, remake the first two, and give us the dance spin-off titles here on steam as well...

Utterly addicting! That's how I would describe this game. Didn't think I would be playing this on my Steam Deck and clocking in this many hours in it, especially when there are other games to be played. Unlocking characters via the Deck is kind of hard, though, especially the ones that require button presses. You may need to login to your PC (which I did) to get them, or get yourself a keyboard you can plug into your Deck.

Rather disappointed with this purchase, to be honest.
The character creation leaves a lot to be desired. Heck, recent Pokemon games have more variations and character creation settings than this title. The character models, especially during events, are kind of...meh. The environment, though, looks beautiful.
Controls are absolutely a mess if you are using a Dual Sense or a Nintendo Pro Controller (not sure with the Xbox Controller since I don't have that at the moment) and keyboard and mouse simply requires too many button presses just to change what tool you are using.
The story, I can't really say much about since I haven't played too long but the reasoning behind why you end up tending a farm is just...it's uninspired. In Stardew Valley, you got it from your Granpa. In Rune Factory games you get it because you are an Earthmate (really good with plants and crops). In Harvest Moon or Story of Seasons, it's usually a desire for a change of pace. Here you got it because...of a correlation between a "weak body" and a "weak mind" (the Village Doctor's words) and they get you to work even after they essentially (well, the doctor, basically) says you're sick? Like, wut? Honestly, they could have come up with something different.
I'm not sure if I'm missing anything either but battles are just...boring. There's no dodge mechanics (or if there is, it's not one you have unlocked at the get-go) and the villagers are all so...generic. Like, generic NPCs.
I don't mind the lack of voice acting, but why do they ask us what voice we want played if there isn't any? Also, the game days are way too short for the amount of work/exploration you are asked to do. They should have just added this entire game as a mechanic for a future Final Fantasy game or something.
It's not worth the price.

Honestly thought this was fun...but it's plagued with connectivity issues, game crashes, and such greedy mechanics from Bamco. You'd think for a game that's online they would have fixed the connectivity issues by now...but, no. It's still there...

Fun and challenging. Controls are not complex and the story is compelling.

As a content creator, I'm always on the look out for fantastic indie games. This became suggested to me by Steam so I gave it a try. I immediately fell in love with the game and what it was trying to tell (and do).. It reminded me of the games I've played as a kid--Full Throttle, Monkey Island, Day of the Tentacle (just to name a few)--but with more heart and a premise shown in the prologue that grips you. I personally feel connected with Nirmala, I understood the fear she had at the beginning of this prologue with writing as I am a published author myself. It is so well-written from people who, I would assume, truly understand the material they are working with. The pixel art is astounding. Beautiful. The music equally so. I cannot wait to play the full title when it comes out!

We used to have this game on our XBOX 360, but I never got around to play it and, ever since our 360 went kaput, I thought I would never be able to play this game. Thankfully, I saw it on Steam right when it was on sale...and I couldn't be happier about my purchase.

This game is fun to play--though my opinion on that may be biased as I really enjoy these kinds of games. Graphics are good, though there are times when the characters make weird faces when you talk to them. The story is good as well, and so is the gameplay. My only gripe is the level cap. I am not even halfway into the main story of the game, and I am already half-way through the level cap...though, I suppose that is the downside of games like this.
