This game you can clearly tell is trying to pad it's stats for game time. The checkpoint system will show you that it does not value your time. Take a rest to get a checkpoint well everything you just killed will respawn. Playing on a higher difficulty and die well be prepared to go back to your previous checkpoint that could possibly be nowhere near where you are. The map layout is not good. Combat feels like there is slight input delay and the camera is awful. When your in combat and locked on to a target you won't be able to see what the other targets around you are doing. I wanted to like this game but can clearly tell EA wanted to do the bare minimum for a Star Wars single player experience.

I know my play time isn't much but the trailer had me under the assumption that presentation would be good and funny. There is 0 commentary and like no sounds when your in a game other than some slight crowd noise and even scoring goals isn't exciting. Basically every time I scored I didn't even notice. A light came on by the goal and a faint buzzer. But it was the most unexciting scoring I've seen in a sports game. The concept is awesome and could be really fun if they would work on the presentation like they presented it in the trailer. I've been looking for a game like NHL Hitz back in the old days and saw this. But at it's current state I got bored within the first 2 games.

Can I recommend it no. Visually the game looks great. But everything else is kind of bland and doesn't do a whole lot of explaining. The safer seas option locks you from doing a lot of stuff so you'll be stuck going online with players who just want to make you miserable. Safer seas still your stuck getting murdered by skeleton ships with endless crews. Progression wise it doesn't seem you get anything out of it other than buying different looks. More expensive weapons and things from what I've seen gives no added bonuses other than looks so it almost makes you be like why do I want this to progress. It really makes you want a great pirate game though. This one may be the best at the moment but I still can't recommend it.

Recommended. First new release to pull me in for hours. Is it perfect nah maybe not but is the gameplay and world fun. Absolutely!

Not perfect but still good and playable.
