It's a phasmo clone but that's not a bad thing as they have had chance to refine the formula.

It's very much the same core mechanics but with added polish:
Maps are more fleshed out with their own location specific scares and oddities, I feel phasmo falls short in this regard having pool of generic scares that can happen on any map and aren't really connected to the map itself, Demonologist seems change this with seemingly more tightly coupled experiences per map without it being super linear.

Excited to see where this goes! It needs some more maps and smoothing out of some of the jank but a very promising start! Excited to see how it develops

Short but very unique game. It creates that uneasy feeling while playing it and gives you an interesting perspective on what seems to be social anxiety possible with other disorders.

Great coop game for a couple of friends, the price is perfect and the content is just the right level of spook / jank that makes it a very enjoyable experience.

My first time playing visual novel and I was blown away by this, the story is gripping and very stylised, loved all the content so far (as this review episode 1-3 ). I am looking forward to the release of episode 4, keep up the great work!

A fun compact retro future styled world with lots of action and some stealth elements. It has a solid menu system tracking all sorts of stats including trackers for collectables, animals, unlocks etc.

If you like doom, then this is doom on crack, fast paced over the top action, it's great!

Only negative I can provide is the UPLAY integration is as expected garbage, They have since pulled servers for this game so you must sit waiting for the server call to time out... Why they haven't patched this out idk! The fact they push their janky launcher ontop of steam DRM then just stop supporting it is terrible. Luckily there's online guides showing you how to patch out the service not available messages yourself. THANKS UBISOFT

Simply spectacular.

Very few games leave me feeling tense with hairs stood on end but this game managed it!
I even played through it 3 times over to see all the endings.

The graphics nail the PS1 era games so well and it's a really nice stylistic choice that give it a unique moody look that I think works really well.

I won't spoil the gameplay as I recommend going in blind, but to keep it brief the game does well at getting you immersed in the live and daily activities of the main character, with lots of methodical objectives and nice optionals too.

What I would recommend to new players:
-Play it completely blind start to finish and enjoy the mystery and see what ending you get
-Play it second time following an achievement guide and try and get all the optional objectives / collectables done for some great achievements / alternate endings.

Would recommend to a friend, I hope to see more from this development team!

Master of Mortis
On the surface a simple game that has a lot of story telling and atmosphere. A great experience that keeps you hooked start to finish. The boss fights are rewarding and mostly fair with only the occasional dud spawn insta mortis. Would recommend this to a friend!

Voted for best game I suck at award in the Steam awards.

A visually stunning horror puzzle game that I enjoyed a lot!

Fantastic atmosphere, sound design and puzzles. It's one of those games that just has you stopping and looking around to soak in the views. Very artsie and for that I love it, not enough games take creative risk like this.

This is not the game for those seeking an action packed FPS shooter experience as a lot of people in these reviews seemed to have expected?
Just read the store description, don't assume weapons in trailer + heavy metal = Doom

Pros:
- Breathtaking visuals that feel like a mix between H.R. Giger and Zdzisław Beksiński
- Great audio design, eerie low subs and lots of atmosphere to build tension
- Tight and polished puzzles that feel well crafted
- Very impressive level design dripping with detail that's a joy to explore
- Deep undertones that leave you crafting your own theories and ideas on the world

Cons/Feedback:
Chulky combat
More ammo, reload cancellation and faster weapon animations would go a long way to improve this problem. Maybe even a combat difficulty option for those who want a less combat involved run.

Save system
It presently has a very basic checkpoint style save system which isn't great for a couple reasons:
1) There's no indication when it has saved your progress, leaving you rather frustrated when you die or have to exit the game and then come back to it.

2) The checkpoints are not frequent enough, I shouldn't be repeating boss fights once I have already completed them once

3) Using the load menu can loose you progress
I made the mistake of firing up the load menu to preform what I thought would reload me back to where I would be if I died and hit continue... I was wrong.

I think a very easy solution is just increase the amount of autosaves or just drop this system and have a more standard save when you wish system, would be helpful for the combat sections!

HUD
1) The bolt guns 'recharge bar' is rather hard to make out especially when in combat
2) Saving game indicator. They don't exist. They should.
3) Hints regarding core mechanics like healing, reloading etc would go a long way to help newcomers

FOV
It should be in the graphics menu not the controls menu

Game length
I wish it was longer, what we have is high quality and I loved it but I'd love to see a DLC to further flesh out the game in terms of length and possibly provide more world lore / explanation.
A idea I had would be covering the large period of time in which the explosion occurs and world decays, would be nice to have that gap of the timeline explained

Player choice
In the first section of the game you have a choice that forks with two outcomes, I really enjoyed this aspect but sadly it was a 1 time occurrence, they really could have done with more choices like this and then adding some value to picking either option. Saving the egg alien should have resulted in seeing him later in the game if you ask me

Summary
Overall I feel the pros far outweigh it's shortcomings and it's an excellent game I will be recommending to my friends.
I only dive into the cons as deep as I did because I think this game is very close to being what I'd consider the perfect game! I can't thank the dev team enough for this fantastic game or should I say ART.

11/10 just play it!
Epic level design, tight combat and movement, awesome soundtrack, killer enemy design and plenty of secrets to please your inner collector.
Can't fault it, it's high paced doom style action with a mash of nods to other games.
