Genuinely did not expect monster hunter of all franchises to get cultural appropriation this good, or it even being a theme in a game.

Game is good

For the new update... It is very god and absolutely terrible at the same time...
so much good stuff, new content, new character, passives rework that feels more interesting...
However there are SO many glaring issues. All forms of healing have been butchered, attacks that feel unavoidable, enemies that feel unfair because they attack and move so fast. Even with a full skill tree and some of the best possible gear difficulty levels 55 and above feel unplayable. The new passive tree requires at least one and a half hours per character to grind, so nine hours for all characters. I would still recommend the game but it needs some patches badly

Easily one of the best games I will play during my lifetime.
Overall map:
The environments and the map overall are massive, but still filled to the brink with things to do, like dungeons, secrets and quests like you would expect form a small 15h game. The world and map design is beautiful and the graphics pristine. Every area has a percice character that encapsulates what to expect and and what the area is about.
Combat:
Best combat in any fromsoftware game, for those that have never played one, all I can say is it is very good.
Satisfying sound design and hit feedback, responsive movement, intuitive controls and either customizability or strong character of each and every singular weapon.
Lore:
The lore in this game is amazing. To say the least everything is interwoven in clever ways and the world is conclusive in it self, but leaves a lot open to interpretation. Or to put is short... The initial concept was written by George R. R. Martin.
Content:
A lot of content. While theoretically you can finish the game with about 8 bosses in my first playthrough I had probably slain about 100, to be fair some repeated but always an experience no the less. There is a ton of things to do in open world and just as much in smaller areas, like dungeons or the main cities
Difficulty:
I know the reputation fromsoftware has, but I firmly believe everybody, regardless of mechanical skill level, can beat this game with relative ease. I am not saying the game is easy, but with the right items and a bit of research there are combos in this game that can make short work of the majority of the bosses in the game.
Final words:
This is easily the best game I have encountered in years and likely Hidetaka Miyazaki's magnum opus. I can recommend this game for any and everybody, even at full price. Play it, have fun, take your time, explore, mess around. The game gives you a good amount of options to respec if you do not like your build or wana try something else.
