This will mostly be a reflection / comparison to the first game, so if you have not played the first installment, please ignore everything i write apart from the last sentence.

There are pros and cons to this game compared to the original Subnautica, it all depends on what sort of experience you want. For me personally i liked the more "horrifying" and lonely feeling of the original, the dialogs and interactions in this game takes away from that somewhat. The "monsters" were scarier in the first one. And the biomes were also more dreadful in a way. The easy access to land biomes also make it feel a bit more safe (not saying there aren't challenges on land, because there are)

The story is a mixed bag for me...
Dialog is very well acted mostly, but i believe it could have been done in a more mature way, for lack of a better word.


The sister/family part of the story did not really interest me that much and at times felt a bit childish, i did however really appreciate the direction of getting to know more about the architects and the Khara virus.

BZ is however a very well made and beautiful game, and if you liked the original this is a solid follow up wth good graphics, sound design and music. Also it has the seatruck.

I'm not sure what this game is trying to be, i could forgive the uninspiring combat and gameplay and just play it for the story, but it doesn't even seem that interesting. A solid Meh/5

All in all this game is well worth it, even when full price.
I have had one of the best times ever in a game while playing the campaign / story mode.
Multiplayer is a bit empty without the unlocks.
Horses can be seriously retarded.

Pros:
-Single player story is very immersive and very seldom feels boring or tedious.
-Weapons feel very genuine, for lack of a better word.
-Graphics are awesome, environments are beautiful.
-Sounds and music are very well done, especially the guns and explosions sound really good.
-Multiplayer can be very fun with some friends

Cons:
-Multiplayer is very grindy.
-You pay real money (Or a lot of grind) to unlock the ability to grind more in multiplayer.
-Loading times are very slow.
-You can't batch craft or batch buy most things, very much unneeded clicking.
-When loading up online mode and joining a posse you often get to load one more time...
Maybe they should have added the ability to join from main menu.
-From time to time there is quite a bit of rubber banding / lag when playing with a posse in
online mode.

I highly recommend this game, but the single player experience by far trumps the online mode.

Conception is reality

I am not commander Shepard, but this is still one of the best games i have ever played. It is beautiful, spooky, atmospheric and wonderful. Say hello to Mabel from me

PoE and D2 all in one, but much better executed. Skill system is vastly superior to PoE for example. Still not complete but i prefer this over any other ARPG.
