Visuals - The game has a distinctive style that is pleasant to look at and provides myriad sights to enjoy. However, there are times where you can tell that the developers just asset flipped items from the Unreal Marketplace. Thankfully, those situations are few and far between.

Sound - No complaints here. From spoken lines to weapons strikes, enemy sounds and the musical score, everything presented to you is an absolute treat.

Gameplay - Imagine if a AA developer understood From Software's combat philosophy, emulating it so perfectly that you could come straight off of Bloodborne, Sekiro or Elden Ring and feel right at home. It's not perfect, there are some balance issues that need to be sorted and the game doesn't do the best job of explaining it's systems, but hot damn! Lies of P is about as close as any AA dev has gotten to getting From Software combat down pat.

Performance - My PC is current, but modest. Playing on an RTX 3060 paired with a Ryzen 9 5900, I'm running the game maxed out at 1080p and getting between 72 and 80 FPS without DLSS. With DLSS, my game rarely dips below 90-95 FPS.

Steam Deck - Unlike most recent AA/AAA releases in 2023, Lies of P runs incredibly well on Valve's machine. I spent time in Chapters 1, 5 and 9 on the handheld. Currently running SteamOS Preview 3.5. Stock settings, no Cryoutilities.

Game Settings on Deck: Native Resolution // Max Frame Limit: Unlimited // Vsync: Off // FSR: Off // CACAO: On // Graphics Settings: Everything on Low except for Anti-Aliasing, Texture Quality and Shader Quality

Steam Deck Performance Settings: Frame Limit: 48 FPS // Refresh Rate: 48 FPS // Allow Tearing: On // No other alterations

Steam Deck Performance: Outside of a handful of spots, you can expect a locked 48 FPS. The sweet spot between 40 and 60 that'll have input delay closer to 60 FPS. If you struggle with performance in certain areas, flipping FSR on will solve the problem right away.

Stability - With my current play time, I've experienced zero issues on PC or Steam Deck.

Lie's of P is good. Really good. Exceptional even. Lords of the Fallen has it's work cut out for it in all aspects save for visuals. Neowiz and Round 8 Studios have something special here and I hope to see more in the future!

Yeah, looks like it. That makes more sense in light of that ActBlue donation, too. But we probably still haven't learned half of what's relevant yet. Not sure we'll ever do either. That USSS director was weirdly squirrelly during that hearing (even more so than the people in her seat usually are whenever there's one of these).

Let's hope you're wrong ;P

Pretty good. I expect at least one more event before November and at least one between November and January.

And now Biden dropped out, wew lad. What are the odds of this still not being the last crazy development before November?
