Incredibly disappointed as of right now at launch. This is one of my favourite franchises of all time and I've been eagerly anticipating this release, going as far as to buy the firefly edition of the game. As of the time of writing, it's like the game was optimised by a team of chimpanzees - constant frame drops and stutters even with DLSS enabled. Hopefully there's some patch that fixes this but I can't force myself to sit through the performance I'm getting at the moment - if so, I'll be more than happy to jump straight back in to this masterpiece held back by poor optimisation. :( My specs are ryzen 7 3700X, 3060 Ti, 16gb ram - running at medium to high settings @ 1440p with DLSS on

Man, I enjoyed this thoroughly from start to finish, the gameplay is just too addicting; I really liked the story for this, even though Max's constant groaning and moaning might not be for everyone. As a bonus, you really don't need to play the first 2 games to enjoy this one (I have only played the first but got stuck on one of the last levels lmao). I think I prefer this more modernised gameplay too, but it's probably because I'm young and silly. Also HEALTH's soundtrack for this is really damn good - I had originally heard the track 'PAIN' before I even knew much about this game, it's such a beautiful song (shame it's only played very briefly in the actual game).
Large game companies don't make games like this anymore it feels like and it's really depressing - interested to see what the rumoured Max Payne remakes will be, even if I'd rather have a Max Payne 4 or something with today's technology.
Personally, I've had no problems with the Rockstar launcher so I don't understand what the problem is.
