Pleeeeaaaase fix the controls. I was so getting into it but my controller seems to have incompatibility issues with the button inputs. Please add support for Playstation controllers. Or maybe... if I find this game on the Playstation... I shall work with that instead. You got me invested with the story. I can't recommend it if the controls aren't working for me.

This has so much potential.

It feels like a cross of Ark and Spore. If it has more Sporelike customization and parts this would be immensely better. It feels like playing Ark but the creatures are made out of Spore parts. More or less. At least it's not slow-loading or CPU-heavy like Ark. You can create or tame critters. You can ride them, eat them and put them to work.

The downsides that kind of kills it for me is the jankiness. The terrain around certain areas gets weird. There's a lake that technically isn't a lake, pets have difficultty navigating around rough terrain, sometimes stuck. I've even found my pets merged as one. This can be fixed simply by resummoning them though and sometimes if you wander far enough they seem to reset. Customization is a little janky. When moving parts that have a lot of parts, they get messed up. Also the camera in the customization gets stuck too close to the creature or too close to the ground.
The constant cow screaming for a cow-mouthed pet is annoying. Maybe the cries should be a little less crazy or maybe add an option to make them less noisy or not at all.

I'm hoping for more animals into the world like rodents, sharks, maybe possoms and raptor birds. Many things I can think of but can't list on here. Maybe the mouths will have abilities other than just to bite. Like how rodents can destroy trees, cats have high piercing, and dogs can cleave body parts... something like that.
I haven't played multiplayer but I'll edit my experience with that later.
Also...
Knockonwood Nintendo stays away from this gem.

I can't even beat the game. It just randomly crashes when I try to use the canteen, refill canteen, try to science, falling off of cliffs, getting raked by kitty, picking up components of the cure, and applying the cure. After several attempts though I was able to reach the boat but it ends up crashing there too.

I'm hoping there's going to be more because it seems a little lacking... Maybe because the first few hours I was lost. This is what happens when I'm placed in a giant sandbox game. I hope someday this game will have a modding community.

Basically looks like Terraria but feels like Starbound. Has about the same controls as Starbound, it just has more combat combos you can pull off. I'd say if you like those two games, you'll enjoy it. It's got a good balance of fun and challenge and the difficulty is adjustable. I've had rage moments but not enough to kill the enjoyment. It tends to crash on exit which is unsettling really but I also encountered a crash when tweaking spells which can be a killer especially mid game. A few bugs in multiplayer but nothing that killed it for me so far. One time I killed a monster and for some reason all the souls went to my buddy despite not being close to my battle. My buddy opened a chest but the chest screen went to me and I wasn't near the chest. My buddy and I are good friends so these aren't a big deal but I suppose with online strangers this can be an issue for sure.
However, there is an auto save function... so if anything, it's slightly disappointing but I'd still recommend it.

Launcher crashes on Startup. Found forums elsewhere saying that the Steam version is bugged or something. So if that's true, just take this as not recommending the Steam version then, rather than the game itself.

If you like platforms... Maybe a quirky little story to go with it? Than this would be especially recommended... I was kinda distraught about the ending though... But I enjoyed the journey through it all.
I made a LP of it:

For a simulator, it basically meets my expectations... It's jampacked with cleaning, renovating fun and adventure. Some of the houses have mysterious hidden secrets. It has unsettling environments if you like games that creep you out a little. I guess all that's missing is some zombies and a COD unreal action mechanics... but at that point, it probably wouldn't be a simulator. It's very casual, can be slow paced or one can try to speedrun it. There's a few homes that reference many pop culture stuff like Dragonball and Home Alone.

My issues with it, mostly glitches, some kill gameplay some are just annoying.
- Picking up the food clutters in the bunkers, sometimes the food turns invisible. It's there and you know it be the selection lines, and without the lines, you wouldn't know it's there. It'll also take up space and you can trip over it as the collision works as normal.
- Admin house is very glitchy. The plugs don't update their newly assembled form and instead stick out of the wall. The tv in the room is backward and moving it causes it to wave violently towards your camera viewing. Scared the hell outta me.
- Ladder mechanics are funky. Also my dude can paint 4 panels of paint and slap a whole column of tile on a wall but they can't pick up objects on a ladder?
- Occasionally the game glitches you into a dimension after selling a house and there's no working menu nor tablet menu to get out of it. It's happened to me twice now and it's a little frustrating... I guess it's why there's an autosave midsession. It's the spookiest thing to experience though... because it's the house you sell only... you can't interact with anything. You have to keep tapping the WASD keys to move at all. You have no footstep noise and the lights don't turn on so when night time happens, everything is dark.
- Which another issue, the lights. They turn on and off constantly. Seems like whenever you walk out of the room or turn an angle of the camera. It's unsettling and I'd rather they all be on unless I turn them off.
- The sauna benches don't line up. For an OCD person, this is horrific. Maybe there's a glitch there that prevents them from doing so...? The rotate tool misses the mark by maybe a few pixels too far.
- Lastly... I'd like if the plates and certain flat items to be stackable and be able to store things in the bins.

I haven't yet finished the game but I'm hoping if they haven't put them in, there'd be more pop culture houses like the Simpsons, or even the big house from Fresh Prince. Maybe some haunted houses... or buying an abandoned monster laboratory... then it's like VCD game with a more rewarding renovation experience... haha.

For what it is... it's a fairly fun game, much more lax and casual than Terraria...
It's not really fair to compare it to Terraria but this game just screams "generic terraria" feel to it and Terraria last I've seen is about the same price too. It's better getting on sale and maybe with some casual friends, maybe for kids or parents... I think you can complete this game within a day if not maybe 3-4 hours, most of that is leveling up and improving skills really. Very small, not a lot of content. A few hours get you everything basically.
The story is a bit lacking... I still want to know what's with the tower thing with the floating glowing orb and why does it randomly turn red? The wiki of this game doesn't have the info so I have no idea... after a while I just feel disappointed not knowing much at the peak of my intrigue.
The events seem a bit lacking, I went to one that said something about increased chaos and I guess my expectations were too high because all I saw was a crystal you destroy... a little monster comes out, dies and that was it... ._.
I do think keep an eye on it and maybe one day it'll keep you interested for more content...
Maybe allowing mods into the game might make it better... idk...

It's a good game. It's a simple island survival with no monsters or magic or anything special. It's pretty casual once you get the hang of it. Although, it's not much of a game.
