Instead of trying to block access to linux players, invest time and money to fix the anti cheat, most people cheat on windows and not linux.

My GOTY so far for 2024

This game is so ♥♥♥ good ngl, played all endings, the +10 years wait was worth it, even the performance is still garbage when you don't have the latest CPU and GPU.

Phantasy Star Online 2 could be considered more of a light MMO than what we're used to here in the West and yet it's still worth playing PSO2!

Before you Play!

It may seem strange to some that the story is told mostly through cutscenes, episodically and the story becomes absurd at some point, but the main focus in my opinion is more on the gameplay itself. I associate PSO2 with a good combat system, leveling, looting, gear upgrading, fashion and social interactions with other players.

Quest etc.

Quests are generally accepted in the Hub (Arks Ship) from NPCs or the quest counters.
Many of the main quests have "Urgent Quest" also called "UQ" which are playable every few hours where you have to slay stronger versions of boss enemies from the story with 12 others to get good loot. I would call these Light Raids, which come in different difficulty levels.

Lots to do...

What many people will be overwhelmed by at first is the amount of quests and content you can complete, which is understandable, but a lot of it is dead content and won't be played.
Next problem, from level 50 the level progress is quite slow, because you reach the point where you have to grind over 1 million EXP. (I think Astarde has tutorials at the front gate on how to effectively farm more EXP by boosting).

BTW play the game via Steam, that saves you the hassle of the Windows Store and use the Tweaker! https://arks-layer.com

Starfield delivers everything I was hoping for from Bethesda!

The game showcases a noticeable technical improvement compared to Bethesda's previous titles. It leans more towards the style of Oblivion than Skyrim in a space setting, which suits me just fine because I actually prefer Oblivion over Skyrim.

While the storyline is decent, it's not on the same level as a game like Baldur's Gate 3. But that's alright, Bethesda games are known for their sandbox nature, where the main story isn't forced upon you.

The gunplay and overall gameplay experience in Starfield are solid. Fallout 4 had acceptable gunplay, but Starfield takes it up a notch. Whether using guns or melee weapons, the combat feels satisfying.

Personally, I skipped the main story and dove straight into Neon, starting a career as a corporal. It's a testament to the game's openness, where your journey is defined by your choices rather than what the game pushes you to do.

Regarding some criticisms in the media, especially about the Fast Traveling System, I have a different perspective. Having played No Man's Sky extensively, I found myself relying heavily on teleporters to jump between systems. Jumping to every system and landing on every planet can be time consuming and inefficient.

Game journalists may suggest speedrunning through the main story for New Game Plus (NG+), but I advise against it. Starfield should be experienced at your own pace.

The only issues I currently have are a few bugs and performance problems, possibly because of my setup with a Ryzen 3800X and an RX 5700 XT."

Early Access Review
Baldurs Gate 3 is the best rpg i played in years but man the cut content and rushed Act 3 and poor performance and bugged ending cutscenes ruined a bit my experience for me!

My act rating after 100 hours Early Access and 120+ hours in the full game

Act 1 100/100

Act 2 80/100

Act 3 50/100

i recommend it but if you want the best experience wait a bit when things gets patched.

NEW GENESIS REVIEW AFTER 7K HOURS.

Despite the initial difficulties, I must say that PSO2 New Genesis is a fantastic addition to the Phantasy Star Online series. This game has brought so much new content and excitement to the series, and I've enjoyed every minute of it.

One of the things I appreciate about NGS is how the game has evolved from its predecessor. The open fields are absolutely stunning, and the fact that you can freely explore them by jumping and sprinting adds a whole new level of immersion to the game. The combat system is also very well done and offers the player a variety of options and strategies.

The Aelio region was a great starting point for the game, and the first story chapter was engaging and entertaining. I liked the fact that Sega introduced the game slowly, giving players time to explore and become familiar with the new features. Now that the game has been expanded to include the other 3 regions, I can say that the game feels even more complete and well-rounded.

I also appreciate the level of customization that is possible in NGS. From character creation to weapon and skill choices, there are so many ways to make your character unique and customize it to your play style. Depends on which of the 4 ship you are, PSO2 has a great community where you can find people to play together or just for chatting.

My guess is that Sega has overestimated to make the game compatible with base pso2 and therefore the release of new content was delayed so much that we got Episode 1 completely only after 2 years.

Overall, I can recommend PSO2 New Genesis to anyone who is a fan of the series or is looking for a new MMO to dive into. The game may have had a bumpy start, but Sega has done a good job of fixing issues and continuing to add new content and features.
