So I'm about 2000 hrs in so I'm re-reviewing the game.

***Overview of the Game***

Classes - There are 7 classes (6 Base and one when you unlock it from the storyline), Each have unique ascendencies, but all can be modified and played interchangeable if done right.

Passive Tree - Scary at first, but easier to manage after some time; Build guides can help and are recommended for all new players. Also if the Tree isn't enough you can get cluster jewels that expand on the tree creating unique branches at the location you want them.

Item Varieties - Uniques (Legendaries in other games) are build making, but are not required and sometimes are worthless.

Skills - Are not based on class, they are socketed into your armor.

Problems with the game - Not new player friendly, and guides for this game are 3 hour spread sheets. Each new character (including Seasonal) you have to repeat the story, which isn't to bad; but can get repetitive the more you play. You have to understand the learning curve is harsh in this game, and if you don't look through your character chart periodically you will be harshly punished. Resistances are really needed!

***Helping hint***

Stash Tabs- are a Microtransaction, but are also a huge quality of life improvement even if you don't like buying premium content from free games, the stash tabs are worth the money and tend to go on sale.

Filters - REQUIRED for end game... Loot explosions make screen disappear through a wall of text. You can get a filter online for free.

POE Academy - Ziz (Popular POE Streamer) makes a free guide teaching new player how to play the game. It is worth watching, and even during players with over 3k hours learn new things (Several times Pros he brings in learn something new during it)

Seasonal content - I know it looks cool and its fun to try early, but resist it and get to end game when the content is completely open (Parts are usually stuck behind story progression)

***Conclusion***

POE - is a 9/10 in my book, Love the game just hate running story every time.

If you are new to ARPG or Looking to play POE for the first time, I would say POE is a great fit and with POE 2 coming out for Beta in 2025, its the perfect time to get your started.
