If you loved OW1 and hate what OW2 has become play this game instead

Fun game. Very hard though. Pve and PvP is both hard but fun. There is a lot to this game. Def worth the purchase. Extremely fun, especially with friends. Devs seem to be more active now that the game is on steam. They also have been listening to the community.

I really tried to get into this game. It is extremely not F2P friendly at all. It takes so long just to make one deck. Like we are talking months of playing every day. It's as bad if not worse when Hearthstone first came out for comparison. This game plays very similar to Hearthstone, even the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ very overpriced crafting mechanics are here too.

The card art is super nice, especially the animated card art.

The meta decks use cards from expansions that are close to rotating, making crafting meta decks pretty much pointless for new players. New players should only prioritize making a deck from the newest cards if possible from the latest expansion.

There are very little deck building websites for this game, and no stat trackers like other card games have for their games, so its hard to see what decks everyone is playing, and deck lists, and stats which ngl I have taken for granted in other card games ive played in the past that all have them.

This game's meta is so oppressive that you WILL not win a single game with a tier 3-4 deck against the tier 0 decks out right now. The meta is so oppressive that 60% of the player base is running the one broken deck or counters for that one broken deck, even at lower ranks. Even at the lowest rank of the game its almost impossible to climb. And the game's arena mode is nearly impossible to get a single win in. And no it isn't a skill issue as I've been playing a wide variety of card games for the past 10+ years and I have never had any issues in any card game but this one for winning a single game.

A lot of the community generally has the same thoughts about the game as I do and most are just waiting for the game to get an updated version of it which apparently is going to come soon. Might try the game out again once the new game comes out.

Fun card game. Very high skill ceiling. In terms of F2P friendly id say its pretty good compared to other card games. The meta is complete garbage right now (which is not surprising). And instead of the devs banning the new broken cards they instead hit other generic support for the OP meta decks which end up hurting other decks in the process, just so they can make more money. This game is pretty hard for new card game players to get into. If you wanna get into a card game I recommend Marvel Snap, or Legends of Runeterra.

For those that are wondering it takes about a little less than a week to get a full deck. Then after you use up all the free gems, its like once every month you can get a deck which isn't that bad compared to other games. For newer players if you don't know how to make a deck look up MasterDuelMeta.com . Its a very helpful website for deck building.

Ok so this game is really long, and very fun. So you will get your money's worth. The story is pretty decent. I had some issues with the game ill mention soon. The game isn't perfect like everyone makes it out to be. There are a low of flaws that still need to be addressed by the devs. Some will never get fixed based on how big the issues there are for some things most likely.

The issues:
1. shield bash took them months maybe years to fix, so that never worked for me and it was a very crutial part for a lot of builds. (its fixed now tk god).
2. Act 1 is really good, Act 2 is decent, but some areas you could tell were left unfinished as they didnt know what to do with them. And in Act 3 ALOT of areas where left with nothing in them. You can tell by act 3 how rushed the game was as there are entire creatively designed areas and NPCs with no story attached to them. Act 3 felt very unfinished. Also the ending for BG3 felt very rushed, and not as cinematic or memorable as the beginning of the game.
3. the sex that everyone hypes up for some reason is hella tame. At most they show boobs and like awkward NPC cuddling during and after the sex. Most sex scenes just cut to a black screen and then show them cuddling naked. The private parts are weird af looking, and they aren't used or shown in the cut scenes. The nudity is pretty pointless in the game.
4. Your build gets online way too far into the game for you to actually enjoy using it. Also, some builds are really weak compared to others. Some builds only become viable during ACT 3. A lot of items are locked behind ACT 3, (despite ACT 3 having the least amount of story).
5. The camera gets bugged out a lot, and glitched on items.
6. Ive had the game crash on me for summoning creatures and having them fight a bunch of enemies at various locations. This game's summoning is pretty bad. And it gets really laggy even on my pretty decent PC.
7. Some playable characters you don't find till really late into the game, meaning you don't get to spend much time with them.
8. This game is very buggy in general as this is a massive game but the devs are working to fix them at least.
9. This game is kinda meh with friends. It takes a really long time for turns to progress.

The main postives:
1. thousands of dialogue options with different consequences.
2. The story is really in-depth. And it has many different ways you can play it. And the story itself is pretty decent.
3. You can be a really bad guy if you want to, or be an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ in game.
4. Spell effects and creativity is really high.
5. The "maps you get to explore have lots of puzzles and hidden areas which is really nice. There are multiple different ways to get to different maps which is really cool. It encourages exploring. The level design, and world design is really done well.
6. Respecing your character is literally free.
7. This game has high replayablity.
8. Honor mode and Dark Urge change the entire game.
9. The combat is very very fun.
10. The voice acting is done really well, same with the music. 10/10

Some tips when playing this game, I highly recommend that you explore every inch of the game. Try not to skip anything. Its very worth trust. You will be surprised what you find. Also something i didn't know before, but weapons and gear are limited. Meaning if its a named piece of gear there's only 1 of it in the game. So if you see a cool weapon or piece of armor in a vendor shop, buy it because you wont be able to get it later. I also recommend new players look up builds to help them figure out what they wanna make characters wise.

One of my favorite games. Not for everyone, however. This game is extremely grindy unless you plan on playing in a solo server. You can and probably will spend 12+ hours a day playing this if you really want to get into it, and be ahead of other players in terms of gear progress. The gear progression in this game is really good. Every update that comes out for this game is free. And every update makes the game more fun, and grindy. They add new layers of things in order to farm/grind for. The updates for this game have been pretty timely. The pvp is decent. The combat is also decent but its not everyone's cup of tea. It looks a lot harder than it actually is. Very easy to get used to the camera angle in my opinion. All DLC is cosmetic. There is 0 P2W. Lots of variety for end-game builds. And this game's end game is mainly PVP-centered but it is good. The cosmetic options for your base are really elaborate so if you wanna make a pretty castle you can. The character cosmetics could be improved upon. They have been updating the variety though. The colors for the outfits could be improved.

I think I wasted my money. This isn't fun at all. Everyone is ultra sweaty. This game is so time-sensitive. It's like playing league but somehow way harder. There are so many things to micro-manage. It's not fun. I can't make a pretty base and then defend it. I literally have to play hella aggressive which I can't manage building up my city + my troops. I just can't handle it. I wanted a chill game, not this. Maybe it will be fun against someone else who also takes their time. but the entire game is just an end-game rush. At face value, this game seemed manageable. But it isn't as easy at it looks. I played 5 ranked games and lost every single one by a landslide. People produce way more troops than I can. Their troops also take 0 dmg. There's way too much skill involved for me to just sit down and enjoy this game. After I lost my 5 games I got placed in Bronze 1 (the lowest rank of the game). I thought it would get easier since I was finally placed. Nope. Still got absolutely destroyed every game. Tried 2v2s in ranked only to get harassed by my teammate for not being as good as him. I did get better slightly the more I played but I'm still nowhere near at the level the average player is at, so I will probably never win. I'd personally rather play a turn based strategy game than this with how time-sensitive everything is. I didn't expect to output 300apm for 30 minutes straight. This game stresses me out more than it de-stresses which isn't a good thing, when the main aspect I look for games is to de-stress from life. I hope my review helps out anybody who is skeptical about buying this game. And I know the sweats will tell me "it's a skill issue", when it 100% is, I'm not denying that. But the skill ceiling for this game is way too high in my opinion to have fun with it. Also again its way too stressful. If you like these sort of games by all means buy it, but again if your skeptical look into the game more, and take my word for it.

Good game, but like everyone else says... the matchmaking is god awful. Just started playing the game with my friend who's also new and we are getting matched against extremely sweaty experienced players every game and a new random on our team. Its hard to have fun when you are getting 5-0 every match... If you can get past that its a pretty fun game.

So this game is about what you'd expect if you played the last game. Its great. But the main issue, and you'll see others that have this issue too, is the game is simply too short compared to the first game. The story only took me roughly 10 hours to beat (which was me taking my time and doing side stuff). The skill tree isnt that large, and you should get every ability after not much playing. Cut scenes are unskipable so if you wanted to play new game plus and 100% the game on it (which is what im doing currently), it becomes extremely repetitive. This game is good, but def get it while its on sale. Def not worth the full price.

Star Wars souls game.

I played it on the hardest difficulty (highly recommend). 25 hours, and 160 deaths later (I kept track), I beat this amazing game. Story is very solid 8/10. This story is cannon in the Star Wars universe if you were curious which is a massive plus. Combat is super fun. Essentially a Jedi simulator. Not only does your character (Cal) get stronger, you also become better at the game with him. The level design is super immersive and expansive (can be a maze at times). Puzzles can be a bit annoying but after a while you figure things out (if you don't you can always look it up). Overall this game is a very fun and challenging experience. Trust the ratings.
