This game has been my introduction to the series. I have to say that it has been very pleasant so far. A great game to kill time with, beautiful visuals and infinite modification options for your cars. I guess this is not news to the guys who come from forza horizon 4 tho :P

I just want to warn you that you're buying into an arcade racer. There definitely is a lot going on physics-wise, with tyre pressures, tyre temperatures, suspension geometry, weight balance etc all playing a very real role in the behaviour of your car but still the driving feels a little bit fake. First of all, all corners can be taken at greater speeds than I feel should be possible in real life in similar conditions. Cars in this game eat up tight-ish corners at 300kph like it's nobody's business. Also say you're driving a rwd car, a wild one with, say, 800++ horsepower. First of all it's not that easy to overdo it and fall into oversteer, even at full throttle. And even when it happens the oversteer, essentially an imbalance, feels way too balanced and controlled and you can many times handle it and snap out of it in time.

I'm not saying the above stuff in a negative context. Quite the opposite, for someone who wants to just go in, play a few matches and have fun that stuff makes the experience more approachable and enjoyable. Just know that you're not buying a racing sim.

So far I've really enjoyed the game, I love the "career" feel it gives you, offering achievements, global leaderboards, cars to collect and mod. You're slowly building your save and you get a nice feeling of accomplishment from it.

A game like no other. Imagine a Battlefield match taking place on a whole continent that's a few kilometers across instead of the usual sized map. Oh, and it's in the future but not in a corny and tacky way. 100vs100 infantry fights inside industrial/scientific complexes, huge armored columns making pushes across vast expanses of land while under A2G fire from swarms of enemy aircraft. All that stuff is a daily occurence, always there, and all of it actual live players. I feel that planetside 2 is the epitome of combined arms combat and nothing can get close to it.

Sure, it does have its shortcomings, combat can't always be 100% as crisp as on a 5v5 shooter like CoD and CSGO, and problems that are common among all FPS games, like peeker's advantage for example, are often exaggerated here. Being able to experience 50vs50 and 100vs100 comes with a cost every now and then, and if for some reason excessively large forces clash together to contest a key position on the map please do expect low fps and hitbox shenanigans to happen.

The game is literally a labor of love. Its developers have been tending to it for sooo many years, doing their best with the resources they have every time and battling hard with their mother companies (we've gone through a few over the years) for increased funding and support, and I feel that they've finally managed to get what they needed this year. The dev team saw a huge upgrade a few months back and since then fresh quality content has kept rolling in non-stop. After many relatively stagnant years, the game is finally seeing a resurgence in both content and popularity. Having not stopped playing over these years I can tell you that NOW is the absolute best time to get into it. The game is getting better by the day, having a loving company behind it and a dedicated playerbase that would always pick this game over any other fps in existence.

Go in for the experience, for the large-scale night battles where the sky lights up from the tracer bullets, and rockets and lasers and whatnot, go in for the organized platoon play where you'll execute 20-man synchronized airdrops behind enemy lines, go in for the thrill of sucessfully defending the key control-point for the entire continent just you and your squad against hordes of enemies, cut yourself some slack, expect to die a lot, throw any notion of competitive KDR out the window and just let the absolute vastness of the landscape and scale of the combat sweep you away.

I hope to meet you on Auraxis.

P.S. Blue guys are the best and don't let anyone tell you otherwise ;)

Brilliant game, amazing atmosphere, great mechanics. I hope the developers will start expanding it because the setting had TONS of potential for an endless endgame.

The best arpg, and the most ethical and done-right free to play model in existence. It is loved by its creators and it gets top quality new content at a constant rate. Download it, start playing it, and learn to love it. It is worth it.

Very interesting game, definitely worth it's money. It will put your reflexes to the test and it has great replayability with randomly generated character traits after each death and a huge randomly generated dungeon to explore. I'm having a very hard time even reaching the final boss, so if you are up for a challenge this is a game worth trying out.
