After so much hype and pre-release content building to an "Infinity War" feeling DLC. It really let me down. Beat the legendary campaign in under 6 hours, unlocked the 2 new exotic guns and completed all available quests by day 2 (around 11 hours total)

Honestly it should be renamed to Beyond Light II, you play through a story line that teases you with new power, you obtain it at the end, then you have to unlock all the aspects and shards. And turns out its another CC class like Stasis but worse. Long ability cool downs, and not enjoyable since you have so may animations you get locked into for several seconds at a time.

New small map, new mediocre strike, new world vendor to grind, new season pass to grind. Just nothing imaginative went into this.

Such a disappointment...

This game has no controls mapped for VR and the locked VR frame rate is sickening. Inside the cockpit is fine, but the world outside of it is at 15fps or something and looks terrible. Refunded.

After the NEXT update, the quality of life in the game is 100's of times better. I like seeing the frequent patches and useful features being added that have been needed since the beginning.

On a real note though, this is by far one of the greatest games I've played in a long time. The story is incredible and allows the player to choose one of four different ending outcomes. I love games like this that allow your decisions to mold the game in such a way to make it so unique and personal for every player. (Along with some hilarious conversations by choosing "Sarcastic" In the conversation selection) I'm the kind of player that likes to rush through the first time to learn about the story the game has to tell, then go back and take my time and explore more (In this case, I have three more times to play, to see all four outcomes) But even with rushing my first playthough. It still took me over 20 Hours to finish. And I'm very happy with the structure of this game and its creators.
This is a prime example of what games could/should be if game developers took time and thought into their creations. Rather than pumping out a new Call Of Duty or Assassins Creed every year just too make some easy money off of "Hardcore Gamers" or as the rest of the community calls them, MLG Wannabees, or even more simply put, Scrubs. Not to say I dont enjoy a few of those kinds of games. But I think the gaming industry has shown time and time again that when they take a few years to create and put thought into a game, It really does become something marvelous. And thats what I believe makes this game S.P.E.C.I.A.L.
