Coming from Lobotomy Corporation and Library of Ruina to a gacha game is really rough.

Since this game is a gacha, I can't recommend it. While it isn't as predatory as many other gacha games, any kind of game that limits the player with things like energy, tokens and pulls doesn't feel right to recommend.

The plot is good, the music is great, the gameplay is... alright, and the cast is likeable, but the pacing is horrible thanks to its gacha nature, and if you're not a fan of reading complementary material to understand some stuff, you won't be able to understand some characters outside of surface lvel.

There's nothing more cruel than turning the sequel of a game you liked into a gacha, and a canon game no less, not a mere spinoff. But if you like PM's universe just like me and you want to deal with all that gacha stuff, at least I have to give some praise to it:

-Unlike many gachas, you don't have to deal with senseless amounts of materials out of nowhere to upgrade your characters. A character only needs three things: Level Up Tickets, Thread and Shards. Tickets are self explanatory, Thread is used to uptie your character to unlock passives and new skills, and Shards are used to get to Uptie 4, but you can also use Shards to unlock characters for free without pulling. Those three materials are easy to get just by playing the game normally.
-If you're a new player and an event is happening, you still get to claim the prizes and rewards without spoiling yourself, unlike many other gachas where you're forced to skip tons of chapters just to be able to participate.
-No equipment system.
-This gacha in particular doesn't feel as overwhelming as many others thanks to two reasons: One, Limbus Company's world is already set thanks to previous games and books, so playing the games in order actually helps you understand things better without having to chow down tons of concepts and convoluted plot points from the get go. And two, PM is a relatively small studio, so the amount of content present at this point is not excessive.

Not only is a SMT-like (and classic SMT, non of that Nocturne tomfoolery), but it also has enough mechanics to keep your favourite waifus relevant through the mid to late game.
Now I can finally accomplish my dream and blast fairies alongside Sakuya and Meiling.

I didn't mind the gays and lesbians too much really, but if they annoy you too much, start a run as Dark Urge. The game lets you kill gays and women and even forces you lmao.

El amarillo que puso el sistema de cartas de mierda cuando te salis de una partida deberia salir corriendo con los brazos abiertos hacia un tsunami. Cualquier medida que limite juegos fluidos en un juego de pago es cosa de mogolicos

FAIR WARNING, IF YOU WANT TO SEE THE TRUE ENDING, YOU HAVE TO GO THROUGH ALL 243 RIDDLES. THERE'S NO BEATING THE BUSH AROUND IT, YOU HAVE TO DO IT AND YOU HAVE TO LOVE IT ALL THE WAY THROUGH.

This is probably the weakest game in the entire franchise, having a little advantage over Origins but not much else.
First of all, this game still runs like ♥♥♥♥ even though it is several generations old at this point. If you have a somewhat decent rig for 2023 standards, you can play it with some stutters here and there, but nothing major.

If we talk about gameplay, it feels weird for me. Smashing stuff with the Batmobile is fun and all, but melee combat feels weird to me, is not as convenient and fun like City, but I think I know why: There's no enemy variety. Before you had huge dudes, small dudes, mutant dudes and sometimes weird enemies here and there. Arkham Knight only has like small dudes and huge dudes even though they had the perfect excuse to weave the entire Fear Gas thing with the gameplay like they did with Asylum.

Plot wise, while most of it is fine because they don't pull an Origins and change the main villain mid game, Scarecrow feels a lot less involved than Hugo Strange. Even though he's the main force behind every villain teamming up to deal with Batman, he's like a support character for the most part. And of course if you want to actually fight him, you have to get a PS4 with the exclusive content that let you fight him for real. Arkham Knight is also a little too absent even though his name is in the title. They didn't even try do something interesting like Deathstroke in Origins.

So far the game feels stale. Gameplay wise is too similar to City and Origins, plot wise is too similar to Origins (but worse) but at least the map is different enough to feel like its own thing and not an extension like Origins. DLC content is too inconsequential, wouldn't bother too much.

For a game trying to set finality over a series, everything but the true ending feels like more of the same without huge changes or anything. Which it is a shame, since Arkhamverse is set apart from the comics, so they could have done more extreme stuff with most characters.

Not a bad game, just stale and way, WAY too bloated. At least you can hear the Joker cry.

PLAY IT WITH RUSSIAN VOICES UNLESS YOU DON'T MIND HEARING BRI'ISH "PEOPLE"

This game is really, REALLY mid. Graphics are nice, the plot is somewhat interesting and going around the Zone is rather unsettling and unique, but gameplay wise is a bit barren.

On one hand you have the base building stuff. You can build things to keep your companions happy and the environment clean, but that's it. You don't have to defend it, you won't find anything too surprising and once you get the hang of it, you won't have to worry about it at all.

On the other hand, you have the main meat of the game: collecting stuff. This game is basically a collectathon where you have to scout an irradiated area for several days. You also have side missions where you have to deal with some tough monster or collect stuff, and main missions where you find new members and move the plot forward. And that's it. There's no special events, there's no new climates or monster roaming around to spice things up, so most side missions get boring really fast. Sometimes you have to fight soldiers and monsters, sadly there's not enough monster variety but at least the gunplay is really good and punchy.

Buy it on sale and don't get too hung up on side missions.

I never played the original Hard Reset, so I'm going to talk purely about Redux.

Didn't care too much about the plot, and it looks fairly generic because most enemies are robots and the cyberpunk esthetic is rather flat. At least it tried something different and didn't go with the overly neon cities and such.

Gameplay wise it is fine, you just have to keep in mind you should buy every weapon and THEN upgrade them. That's a good way to keep the game interesting since enemies won't drop new weapons and you can't find them like in any regular FPS. Movement is kind of weird because you can't crouch (and that's how the game keeps itself from being too short; You have to circle around obstacles that you could easily bypass by crouching), but you can run and dash, that makes combat really exciting at times.

Music is generic at best, but nothing too bad either.

This game is a perfect 7/10. Maybe a sequel would help iron out some quirks and add some enemy variety, but it is fine as it is.
