Yet Another PvP FPS. No single player or anything that separates it from the rest.

I want to like this game. Neat idea behind it, decent enough framework and UI, but the levels and missions are just so thin, one-note, and lack any meat to bite into. Finished the game in 3.2 hours, and that was including the runtime where it would hang and crash loading into a level that required grabbers, did not say it required grabbers, and my drone was not equipped with grabbers. So really, under 3 hours. There's no lore/plot/story to follow, the missions are all single-objective and usually didn't have anything stopping you from just moving from Point A to Point B when the objective is "Get to Point B".

I really really want to play this again when they expand on it, but as it is right now it's not anything to spend your time on. Would love to chat with the developers, not currently seeing any means of doing that.

The game mechanics, the aesthetics, the level design, and the sound engineering are absolutely top-notch. That said, there are some glitches and the story is significantly underbaked.

Big ideas, shallow follow-through. Let it grow a bit, get some DLC and expansions to give it more depth and refinement.

An excellent port of the tabletop miniature wargaming experience. There is a bit of a pacing issue that makes each round drag a little, but otherwise it's fantastic! A lot of promise, a lot of room to grow. This is minecraft in space with better graphics, and Minecraft has lasted for over a decade!

Is it Lovecraftian? Hell no. Is it ridiculous? Absolutely. Is it fun to blow away Mythos monsters with Mad Science? Hell yes! Good for killing an hour just blasting your way through hordes of beasties. Haven't figured out Co-Op on PC yet, but should be interesting.

What do you get when you combine the tedium of Minecraft, the lighting of Doom 3, the voice acting of Shrek, graphics with fewer polygons than a PlayStation 1 game, and the level design of an indie game? Deep Rock Galactic. The tutorial was so uninformative I literally only progressed by accident when I was trying to kill myself after 20 minutes of not knowing what was expected or what things looked like.

I intended to take a look around for an hour or so, familiarize myself with the controls, and then load a fresh game and stream it. Eight hours later, I'm on a different planet starting a new mine on it, researching how to send things between the planets, and am on my third science color of five.

Might be a tad addictive.

Evocative atmospherics and gut-punching storytelling will pull you into the lives and stories of people caught in a war-torn city. War rages all around you, and it will take keen planning just to survive.
