This is probably one of the better 4 player co-op games on Steam right now IF you don't mind 1st person view combat. Since its release, there have been many DLC and content, including new career choices for more combat variety. The combat is very action paced and well done.

The bad parts - the game suffers from some minor, yet annoying technical problems that have not been fixed since its release years ago. When closing the game, there's about a 50% chance the launcher does not close properly, and remains running in Steam, which then needs to be shut down in task manager - annoying. Also, the game is very prone to crashing, and one might have to do some weird and crazy stunts to get it to stop. For me, I have to add a -200 Core Clock offset to my GPU using MSI Afterburner. You might think this is PC specific to me, but I remember having this problem 3-4yrs ago with a completely different PC than I have now - yet same exact problems as described above.

tl;dr: Gameplay is great, but technical aspects are finnicky and will never get resolved.

I have to give this game a good review, because the amount of QoL features and the story driven campaign was done really well. The game suffers from some performance issues, but so does every released game recently. The quality of the game should not get a bad review over some performance issues that will get resolved.

Once the true sandbox mode of Immortal Empires gets added, we will see a lot more people flocking to the game with excitement as that seems to be the true epitome of this series.

I've played the board game with friends a few years ago, and it was easily one of the best board game and social experiences I've had. The digital Steam version has done an amazing job, and the actual flow and animation feels exactly like the board game without having to do all the busy work of remembering to handle small pieces.

If you are interested in turn based strategic RPG and don't mind a challenge, this is absolutely the game for you. It does take a good deal of patience to think and plan your turns, so not for the impatient.

This MMO game takes a bit of the hyped survival series of games and traditional RPG games and meshes them into an online community. The economy is completely player driven, with an abundance of crafting, refining, and gathering skills; there are also no NPC merchants with useless junk, so everything is bought/sold on the trading post.

Speaking of the trading post, it has the best quality of life features and ease of use of any MMO based marketplace in history. This is true about a lot of small details in the game, which make me smile as I find out how certain mechanics work and well done the devs have implemented the content.

The PvP aspect of the game is probably going to be the first time in decades that I will want to revisit and enjoy PvP content in an MMO again. I won't go into the details, as there is so much, but the devs have done a great job introducing the faction wars into the PvE world, such as you do not really need to participate if you don't want to, but if you do, there is loads of fun ahead.

When I first pre-ordered this game on Steam (it's no longer available on Steam and an Ubisoft/Epic store only item now), I played for about 50hrs and kept getting overwhelmed. The game is unforgiving and difficult to master. There are a lot of moving parts and systems at play. However I got back into it 2yrs later with a boatload of DLC content that added so much content to the game. I stuck to it this time and got fully into it. It's become one of my favourite city building strategy games of all time now.

You do need patience to play this. Unlike other strategy games, I felt the urgency to rush to beat the AI opponents, but unless you're playing with extreme difficulty settings and hard AI, you can be more passive and casual to build up an evolving economy and empire. The main strategic element to this game is balancing an economy and growing a population to be sustainable.

Pretty much the best zombie survival simulator out there. The initial release few years ago was a buggy mess, but the Juggernaut Edition (not to mention including more content and different game modes) has made it the game it should be.

Definitely one of the stranger games I've ever played (both story and gameplay mechanics), but it's very intense and beautiful.

The environments, the music, the characters, and the cut scenes make for a very intense, long, and weird Netflix series with a unique spin on the post-apocalyptic world.

The game is pretty hard to get into at first. The controls are odd and the UI is intimidating, but if one is patient, reads the tutorial tips, and doesn't try to rush through the game, then it becomes a very rewarding experience.

This game just gets better as it ages because of all the love and care the developers have done, including DLC and patches.
