This took over my life for 3 weeks, and it was awesome.

Definitely yes! I had a great deal of fun with this game.

There are numerous nods to Silent Hill, Resident Evil and even Evangelion in this game. With that said, it doesn't feel derivative at all, as it features an original setting, story and gameplay. I enjoyed the attention to detail in the art and sound design. The story is also captivating. It is truly a breath of fresh air of a game.

I noticed some reviews complaining about lack of inventory space, but I would say it comes down to personal preferences. It does make you backtrack to save points, but it also forces you think about resource management (what to pick up? when to pick it up? what to bring with you?), which was part of the fun of the game for me.

Highly recommended!

From Software has delivered once again.

If you are already a souls fan, this is totally up to the hype. If you're not, this might be the most accessible souls game so far.

I feel like the game is playing me, and not the other way around.

Starts off really interesting but devolves into a very long and repetitive grind. After 3 evenings of grinding, I have decided to just stop without finishing it. Absolutely does not respect the player's time.

I felt compelled to play until I got a win. Not as hard as other classic roguelikes, but still very hard!

Definitely recommended for people who like a challenge.

Nice sci-fi roguelite with an interesting (if not a bit trope-y) story. Got me hooked from start to finish.

Possibly the best game I've played this year :)

The developers expanded on gameplay they created for Titan Souls, and made a great transition into 3D as well. Great combat, soundtrack and atmosphere.

It's also crazy that this game was made by a two-person team, since it compares with games made by much larger studios. I hope they keep developing more games!

Bonus: Not Linux-compatible, but works flawlessly with ProtonDB 6.3-5.

Nice premise. Some of the angered gods require you to play quickly, making the game very challenging. Looking forward to see what the devs are going to add in the future.
