A bumpy but extremely enjoyable ride.
More of a visual novel with proper gameplay than anything else, but there is so much to like about Wolfstride.
The No More Heroes like structure moves along the plot, going from grinding minigames and sidejobs to upgrade your mech and get new attacks for these fun clashes against other mechas. Initially the premise is super entertaining, but sadly, you eventually will encounter loopholes within the combat system, and its very easy for the daily tasks to be very grating, and the money grind tiresome. More when initially, you lack some useful upgrades that ease the small roster of side jobs that allow getting more money.

But what completely carries the game is not this repetitive loop, it's the S tier gang of deplorable underdogs starring the show, expressive portraits, soundtrack and the magnificent voice performances of the cast bringing these loosers to life. There is so much personality, charm and character on offer.

I don't think this type of game is for everyone, but damn I had a really good time with this one, and I believe it deserves more attention for being a neat little game.

Fight alongside MSX Solid Snake, this DLC is like a quality fanfiction you want to take as canon because it's just cool.

As a successor of the lineage of Lucasarts, incredible music was almost a requirement by law. Thankfully, Jared Johnson didn't disappoint, and this excellent release is proof of his talent and the impact score can have on a game.

I think more than anything this recommendation goes for those who are just starting to learn the language and need a simple game to practice, as I find the potential audience to this game to be extremely niche. The tone and story is more oriented towards to a younger demographic, who isn't exactly fond of adventure games.

Regardless, I enjoyed it. The storyline has some surprisingly funny little moments and while the character art leaves a lot to be desired, the music is nice and the environments look genuinely pretty good. My only grievance is the food and drinking mechanic, where actions cannot be executed when thirsty or hungry. While it's basically an excuse to teach you names of food items, it stops being fun to keep an eye on it by the first hour and can be quite tedious.

I guess more than anything, if you already learned languages playing games as a kid without subtitles, this game might just appeal to you a lot more as a fun trip down memory lane. As a regular adventure game, it's nothing amazing, but it's well made and has a noble intent behind it.

Small and short little puzzle game yet compelling with this captivating otherworldly atmosphere that makes exploration so engaging. Tickles a particular part of my brain that I enjoy.

I was highly anticipating Conscript and it didnt disappoint.

This is a hardcore, harrowing and relentlessly bleak game set in the absolute meat grinder of Verdun, where classic survival horror game tropes get masterfully assimilated into a historical setting. By far the most unique aspect of the game is the total lack of supernatural elements, nearly everything you see in this game has this amazing air of plausibility and authenticity that really amps up the grim atmosphere that hangs around every minute of the game.

While the game has some welcoming options assisting players who are not as valiant, the game absolutely shines when saves are limited, every injury hurts, and you're resource starved. This makes the stop and pop shooting, the very risky but punchy melee, and those ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ rats to be as undesirable as possible. Maybe I'm just a masochist, but I really enjoyed how brutal and clunky the combat was, even if I can understand someone being very turned off by how slow and difficult it is.

That all said, I have two grievances - the rats can be a bit too punishing (there will be a small nerf soon) and I find the amazing visual style can at times hide essential paths needed to progress due to the murkiness, which got me lost a few times. However, if the idea of surviving the trench warfare sounds interesting to you, or you just want a great game to play, pick this one up right now.
Few horror titles have been as unique and engrossing as this one in recent memory.

Quality DLC well worth the money.
The new tracks are great, the two new missions are enjoyable, but the meat is the new additions to the arsenal. The SMG is alright, but the blade lives up to the hype in glorious fashion, slicing people feels ungodly good. And that revolver has a harder kick than your drunk dad.

Even taking into account the behind-the-scenes problems (CV wanted to take the series in a new direction and went with MS to make some reboot without Capcom's consent, causing a chain reaction that led to this being made in about a year of dev time) Dead Rising 4 is fundamentally a bad game in its own right in so many levels that even my most open minded self gave up trying to find any enjoyment out of it.

Everyone already has ripped this game a new hole because of how much it neutered the series staples, the gameplay flandarization and the incredibly bad writing and direction, so instead I'll stab it on the left kidney to get a new hole.

The zombies hurt you by a AOE instead of actually attacking you, which in Blackest Friday difficulty means attacking head on is suicide, it is better to spam heavy attacks to keep them away. Constantly the camera stops tracking you and looses orientation. Input delay when moving can cause you to pick anything but the health item you actually need, and the stiff movement means you might get teleported to a different interactive element. Human enemies have awful hit detection and get stuck on the environment while still being able to shoot you behind a cover. The game's inventory system is cumbersome and doesn't allow you to quick-swap what you want in real time, and since you cant throw weapons, many items lying around are simply not worth picking up to begin with. And so many bugs, collision issues, input eating, broken animations, and more.
And lowering the difficulty makes the game so pathetically easy the game is not even a game anymore. It's a mess from top to bottom.

I had such a miserable time in the past 7 hours that I decided there was no point in continuing.
I'd encourage you to not be open minded and look past this one, only someone with incredibly low standards could enjoy this game, let alone as a Dead Rising entry.
