Failed to deliver on the promise of being a worthy Left 4 Dead successor. Failed to even include the baseline of detail that was included in Left 4 Dead. Failed to deliver on long term support originally promised (with no community mod support).

If you're gonna play it, do so before it gets too outdated. The gameplay is solid at best, there's a few moments where the level design gets weird (the clearest path not actually being the right way to go). This happened to me a handful of times, which made me wonder if the game was bugged and I couldn't progress or if I just was not seeing the little hole in the wall which was the real exit. Most of the guns are garbage, and some of the enemies are so bullet spongy that instead of having fun I wanted the level to be over. It could be worse, It's a decent game at the end of the day, but maybe only for a sale price.

One of the greatest zombie, and co-op, games of all time no doubt. Still holds up due to how well every piece of the game fits together.

I would recommend you buy on sale, it's a short game with any replay value coming from achievement hunting, high scores, and gameplay modifiers. The story is a decent backdrop for the main course of the game: the shooting, which has a few cool guns and abilities to choose from. My wish would be for there to be a workshop for community levels.

One of the few gripes I had with the game was the limiting second half of the levels, as the first half allowed for a decent amount of space to string together cool moves and go mental. The second, however, started to feel cramped, with more enemies hiding behind cover in the various environments. The game began to feel like my goal was to simply kill the enemy before they could drain my health and move on, instead of a slow motion shooting sandbox, I felt less motivated to even use my abilities going forward.

I do still recommend the game, but maybe not for the standard asking price. It's a good buy at around 10 USD, which I got it for.

Black waves teeming with salt foam to smother this young mouth with pungent slime, to choke ye, engorging your organs til’ ye turn blue and bloated with bilge and brine and can scream no more -- only when he, crowned in cockle shells with slitherin’ tentacle tail and steaming beard take up his fell be-finned arm, his coral-tine trident screeches banshee-like in the tempest and plunges right through yer gullet, bursting ye -- a bulging bladder no more, but a blasted bloody film now and nothing for the harpies and the souls of dead sailors to peck and claw and feed upon only to be lapped up and swallowed by the infinite waters of the Dread Emperor himself -- forgotten to any man, to any time, forgotten to any god or devil, forgotten even to the sea, for any stuff for part of Winslow, even any scantling of your soul is Winslow no more, but is now itself the sea!

Very unique stealth shooter, highly recommend especially on sale.
