A great return for the franchise.
Aside from a story line that gets a little preachy, and a whining kid, it's a 10/10 experience.

The real reason why the reviews are mixed is because people are trying to play the game on systems below minimum specs and consequently getting poor performance.
Add to that people who have no idea what a monster hunter game even is, and shouldn't have even bought the game to begin with, and it makes sense why the reviews are mixed.

If you have the PC to run the game, and know what you're getting into, it's great.
If you don't and still want to play, I guess you could always just do like everyone else and leave a negative review about things that wouldn't even be an issue if you did 10 minutes of research and had the PC specs to actually run the game.
