Okay, Overkill has problems. Let alone with the current state of Payday 3, Overkill released an update with several undocumented changes in the patch notes. I have experienced an aggravating amount of instability and crashes as of late, and apparently its due to taking police as hostages. Turns out there is a chance you can crash heisters in the lobby just by intimidating a cop. The more I look into the current state of the game the more I'm left fluster as to why the game was changed so drastically. I'd recommend looking up Kevkild's video on the new update, but I'll summarize his points to convey my irritation with Overkill currently.

-Several AI changes that make the npc behavior to be more erratic. I.e. spawn groups of enemies splintering off with different behavior including getting stuck, cops target prioritization seems random and sometimes run away from the player
-Cops shrugging off stun effects
-Even dumber civies
-Unusual spawn frequencies
-Needlessly diversifying enemy types correlated with factions instead of the standard enemy types. (This is all in the coding btw) I.e. Armored cops for all factions, now we have Heavy_Swat, Zeal_Armored_Swat, Federale_Heavy_Swat. Again not broke ♥♥♥♥ being "fixed"
-THE WORST PART is cops shooting though walls including snipers, rendering cover less effective

There are a few more unlisted changes and nerfs but you get the point... My biggest gripe rn, is why? Overkill tried to fix a problems that didn't need fixing and left the game in a worse state. Worst part is they're trying to fix Payday 2 when they need to be working on Payday 3! So why the hell are they wasting time and resources with Payday 2??? The game is effectively sunlit and only needs longevity patches to run on newer hardware, not an AI overhauls and internal reworks. Overkill has been sabotaging itself though questionable prioritization, buisness practices, (like working with deep silver xdxd) and ignoring community feedback. Frankly I'm starting to dislike the Overkill we have now. This is update needs a fix or be reverted, and needs effort directed to Payday 3. Hard to have hope for corp that keeps fumbling hard and often
