So this is my 3rd time making this review because I keep finding more problematic issues with the game. As of this last update I found a bug where my game wont launch. I verify cache integrity and its like a 30+'ish files missing and failed to install. Reinstalling didn't work. Solution was to install it on my infinitely smaller boot drive compared to my storage drive. (D-drive to C-drive) It worked for a few days. Its back. I'm currently finding fixes to this bug but the fact I need to google all of the other "fail on boot" bugs in this game is a testament as to where this corps priority are. Fix. Your. Game.

Anyways enjoy your copy of Call of Duty Halo Infinite 2, if you held out for the sale, you still got swindled $60. On god, no amount of time will fix these issues. If the bugs this game is keeping you away from getting the game, stay away. I genuinely believe this game is one competent dev team away from having a decent competitor and if that we're to happen its going to be an indie team cuz corps ain't ♥♥♥♥ these days.

Until then, my game is currently unplayable due to the boot fails until I find 1 out of the dozens potential fixes, if my issues is even recognized as a common issue.

Edit: Oh would you look at that, I forgot to update this review by a few days. Just had to nuke the game and reinstall it 4 times, had it running the day after this review (i think). Honestly didn't feel like up keeping this review cuz MWII is failing to up keep it QA in check.

Its annoying to like a game like this... This game does what it specializes well, but fail on every other basic quality most games need to be passable / playable. Its really annoying that THIS envelope has been pushed down by corps so much where this game is in my top 5's of 2022. Like, we'll see these issues again by another gaming corp soon, and its going to be worse quality, but its all we'll get. MWII, Overwatch2, Calisto Proto', Diablo, R6 Extract', Halo, every EA sport game, and hell even Elden Ring had some unplayable bugs on launch. Point is that's gaming now.

I miss the days where big game devs had to give a damn about quality. Sure they didnt have quality that some later games have but thats the point. Game quality improved overtime, and now it decaying because most devs need to focus on monetization over everything else. It feels like an "unplanned obsolescent" where a modern game's quality is only out shined by doing one thing better than every other mediocre game out there. They don't wanna innovate on the game and make it the best they can be, just prioritize monetization. No ♥♥♥♥ they need to pay rent but its always the higher-ups management. Their not mismanaging, their incentivized of their job to push for profit over quality. Even if its time to say "enough" that wont do ♥♥♥♥.

♥♥♥♥ these AAA corps for pushing this envelope this far down the road. Just stick to games that deserve it. Not saying vote with your wallet (Theoretically boycotting works but come on, we know the people who buy COD and EA sport games annually) but support the small games that need support. I'll probably buy the Ready or Not DLC despite being early access cuz they need funding. Quick laundry list of games I'd recommend supporting are...

Ready or Not, Ground Breach, SCP 5K, GTFO if your into the more grounded gameplay. I'm against it, but Insurgency Sandstorm is an option. Cyberpunk 2077 got labor of love and its moddable with Hardcore22 though understand if MWII burned you out in investing in it. I dont have much recommendations for solid tdm / ctf shooters sense I dont play PVP often, and I jokingly think lesser of you if you play battle royals.

Anyways depending on how Season 2 pans out I might play Tarkov. I hate that game because I'm not the type of player who likes that style of game, but I might play it in spite of MWII. I've played all of the above and playing MWII for variety sake, so I'll play tarkov for variety sake. I've stayed with Sandstorm and Siege for so long, and I'm rapidly nearing a similar grudge I have with those two games. As much as I love the things this game gets right, the more reluctant I am to share my opinion because theres no way any AAA game is taking that feed back from the top. I want this formula to die because it took away Halo and makes it harder to vocally advocate for game I love, Dallas my beloved.

Also I'm rambling at this point. I'm put way too much effort in this review. Now that I'm in my "♥♥♥♥ it" brain, I'm not even going to edit this, game wont edit their spelling errors, or weapon smith guns that show attachments on guns it cant even have / misplaced. You think I care about this reviews quality anymore for a game that also said "♥♥♥♥ it?" No, I am now the least deranged gamer now. ♥♥♥♥ it, have more ramble, You know that "Tactical Human" Skin, I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ HATE that name, no ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥ you'd want to be tactical as a spec ops operator, but now cuz the "Try hards play as me" Scottish chick in the most casual and nontactical "stay over substance" load out you can buy. When people wonder why ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ causally RPG or double melee on shipment, that's why. Its games like this I start to understand why people use the Oppressor MKII in GTA to disway people from having fun in a game their sick of grinding. Exept R* have children wanting to be poggers or some ♥♥♥♥, and COD players consist of "just got home from a 8-6,I just wanna turn my brain off and take my anger out on everyone in a video game lobby" which is probably the only valid reason for buying this game though I highly advise it anyways, just like how a typical cod player would avoid any common sence cuz "What the ♥♥♥♥ did you just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ say about me, you little ♥♥♥♥♥?
