An amazing game and an amazing emotional journey which stands out not because of it having no flaws, but rather it being this great despite them. Its a magical journey sending you through a lovely world with incredible detail and imagination, filled with amazing, living authentic characters. It also helps that your main party is one of the best in all of gaming. Its stupid how much love was put into this game and how many intricate details can be found if you dare to look.

The story is also great, one of the best in gaming, although in certain points lacking a clear red line sometimes. I think this can also be attributed to the side content, of which I think most was amazing, being the cool gold saucer minigames, the open world quests and explorations, and also Queensblood. However some parts were rather annoying at some points, *cough Chadley stuff for the most part.

If you liked remake or the original (but are not too concerned for it to be exactly the same) I think you'll have a blast with this game. (Also its almost worth it to play just for Chapter 12)

Schlechte Hitboxen, teils unfaire Gegner, bonfire am anderen Ende der Welt zu den Bossen... insgesamt ein echt gutes Spiel!

First of all, it is a great game with some great design choices and, sadly, some weird ones. If you've never played a Final Fantasy game, this would probably be a good start, especially if you like this game's dark theme.

The GOOD:
The cutscenes are some of the best I’ve seen in gaming, and the action gameplay is very satisfying, especially if you try to do combos and not just button mashing. The Eikon fights, combined with the music, deliver an adrenaline-filled experience I’ve rarely seen in another game. I’d describe it as a mix of DMC and old-school God of War brought to today’s standard on steroids.

The music is a straight-up contender for the best soundtrack in video games—it’s that good.

The story is excellent, in some places I've wished for a bit more but the emotions this game delivered in certain moments is painful.

Additionally, the characters, both protagonists and antagonists, are excellent, and everyone in the "Main Cast" is amazing. It also helps enormously that the voice acting in this game is perfect, and that all the characters are written flawlessly. Not a single sentence felt out of place, and this worked wonders for the atmosphere in this game compared to garbage such as the new Dragon Age.

The Good/Bad:
The graphics and visuals in this game are, most of the time, a 10/10, especially during the main story. However, certain locations in this game, as well as the "cutscenes" for side content, are so much worse that it would have been better to allocate fewer resources to the main content and put more effort into the side content. Despite this, I’d still give the graphics and visuals a 9/10 since they are absolutely stunning when they deliver.

The BAD:
The open-world design is bad. It does its job, and there are cool things to find, but for the most part, it is very limiting and, in many ways, too linear. For example, small puddles can already block your path, forcing you to go around.

The side quests are mostly bad, especially in the beginning, and I think you’re better off just doing the "+" side quests since they have some form of reward for you. Despite this, I’ve done almost all the quests, and while some were very interesting, the quality difference between the main missions and side content is so big that it sometimes feels painful to play them, even if the plot is interesting.

Finally, the gameplay loop is a small problem for me. The gameplay itself is amazing, but it’s very repetitive since the two things you do in this game are 99% story and fighting. I think some form of minigames, puzzles, or anything else would have helped make the game feel less repetitive.

Spielerisch bis dato sogar die beste Expansion, Story technisch leider ein wenig mau aber immernoch gut genug um es enjoyen zu können, insbesondere die 2te Hälfte nimmt echt Fahrt auf.
