The Witness

The Great Puzzling Adventure

I have played for a couple hours and I have enjoyed The Witness considerably so far. Beautiful scenary of the island pairing together with difficult puzzles to solve makes this game fun and interesting to play. Even playing on my laptop I can get steady 40-50 Frames per second on medium to high settings.

Pros

• Very big open world to adventure and discover
• Hundreds of puzzles and many hours of play
• Beautiful, crisp graphics that run smooth
• Many many many positive reviews and high rating score on Metacritic


Cons

• No Colorblind setting
• Steep Price

One of the major flaws in the game would have to be that there is no Color Blind Setting for the fellow blind. There are many different colored puzzles in order to solve but would be impossible for people with eye problems to be able to complete. If the developers were to update the game with such a setting, there would be a lot more positive reviews and would be better off.

You have no idea what happened nor where you are. You don't even know yourself! This is where the puzzles come into play as you go around the island finding different hints and clues to figure out who you are and how to get home which is unique. This is certainly one of those games that tests your patience and provides a good exercise for your brain. It is not one of those games if you want an easy pass through a game. There will be some puzzles where you would have to look up for some solutions as you get so stuck. I have been guilty of this a couple times (Okay maybe more than I would have liked xD).

Overall an amazing game and I highly recommend this game. $39.99 is a pretty steep price for this game but if you can afford it, you won't be sorry! Have fun solving puzzles and exploring the beautiful island!
