gorgeous visuals. tough as nails. fun platforming designed around every decision being a commitment of some kind. it's very good and I wholly recommend it.

it's a fantastic game. in fact it has potential to be the best game in the series yet. but it also keeps ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ crashing every time I try to find out.
if you really wanna play this game and have a PS5, I recommend that route instead. definitely don't buy the PC version until the first patch(es). I'll give a proper, full review once these issues have been fixed.

some balancing issues aside, I thought Etrian Odyssey was a very solid DRPG made even better by the QOL that is native KBM controls. it's not the game in the series I would recommend first but you can't go wrong with playing it, especially if you choose to play it specifically through this port.

I absolutely loved KEIZO's wild ride. wholehearted recommendation to anyone who remembers the RPGMaker/Fangame forum culture of old.

despite my own disappointments with the post-launch support of Monster Hunter Rise and Sunbreak, I still had this title as "recommended" because I'd rather play a modern Monster Hunter game than a modern action game. Monster Hunter is my favorite video game series of all time.

the ongoing rollback beta single-handedly got me to care about playing fighting games again after like 4 years of being extremely bitter towards the genre. and so, I nominated this for the Labor of Love award and you should too
