You're trapped in a forest, nothing makes sense, the only thing you know is that you want to go home, you're never hungry, you're never sleepy. You just want to press on no matter what stands in your way... and boy does many things stand in your way. From crazed savages, through shady villagers and all the way to the purest eldritch horrors.

Darkwood is not a game for everybody and not only because of the difficulty but because of a more "passive" horror approach. You might see barely any combat in chapter 1. Your vision depends on your "cone of sight" depending where you look at. Every little noise you hear outside of your field of view might be the last thing you hear before something tears you to pieces.

Unlike other modern survival horror games...there's no need for sustainance or sleep. Your main resources are whatever you can use to barricade your shelter, craft weapons and healing items and, most importantly, time.
Time is your biggest enemy every day and what makes this game so "slow". You can't really rush everything on day one because maps are randomized on every play through making it hard to locate that one item you'll need to progress.
Every day becomes a race against time. Should i go for this place that has a weapon and items to upgrade my stuff? will i have enough time to take some detours? Because nightfall is breathing on the back of your neck...and you don't want to be outside of your shelter when night falls...

Then again...being at your shelter doesn't guarantees your survival. Because you're never alone at night...

Overall it's an amazing game i feel bad i haven't gave a chance sooner. It's horror in it's purest definition and thankfully it doesn't depends on cheap jumpscares but the athmosphere and very very VERY weird sidecharacters you'll meet along the way.

Downloaded it expecting a short narrative mod with dry cynical humour...
Got all that but with a 8 hour campaign (took my time exploring) that pretty is Episode 3 for me until Valve officially releases something.

Amazing. The scenarios are great, weapons are a bit different than HL2 vanilla (more recoil for example), soundtrack and voiceover is amazing. And man...Wilson is the MVP

What can i say...there is something calming and relaxing to come home from work, just put spotify in the background and drive your virtual truck around europe carrying good...At first glance it sounds boring as it can be, maybe for some it will be, but damn it is a nice experience...

Not into remakes or remasters since i always thought they are more of a cashgrab or just a way for people who didn't play the originals to actually try them on current systems...But this? This is way beyond that. The gameplay kinda reminds of RE7 and RE4 "over the shoulder" camera but...The horror feeling of the original...is still there. Matter of fact? It's even more intense. The graphics are just great, the sounds can get you easily creeped out (Specially when certain huge MOFO starts roaming the map searching for you).
Totally recommended no matter if you're a newcomer to the series or a veteran. THIS is the Resident Evil we wanted for years, i really hope they keep the formula for the next installments

Played it through back on my PS3 years ago and it turned into my favorite shooter ever. Bought it on steam but with the amount of games i have just...left it behind for a while. Now, decided to give it a go again. The ambientation is amazing, from the first minute you feel you're in a place that is on the verge of total death, you can smell the blood and chaos even though it's only a game... The graphics well...slightly dated but we're not talking about a current gen game and back in the day it was the sh*t. The controlls are a bit wonky but the story...Damn...If you never played this game and want a different story other than the cliché COD/BF-esque "you're a hero, save the day" then i just have one thing to say. Gentlemen...Welcome to Dubai....

So far most "dislikes" come from people who blindly follow youtuber and media critiques (Microtransactions yadda yadda).
11 hours in and totally looking forwards for another 11 at least.

[TL:DR]
The game is not bad at all, it's not amazing but it's definitely good.
I'm a Metal Gear fan since i was 8 (26 now) and yes, this is totally different and has nothing to do with the main story.
But it's a spinoff, and damn if it's a decent one.
The gameplay is pretty similar to The Phantom Pain, but with building, crafting and scavenging.
Imagine it like this...Metal gear once went to a party and met Dead rising, they ended up chatting for hours and had steamy sex. 9 months later...bam. Metal gear survive is born.
The game play is great if you're into stealth games and if you like survival games.
It gets a bit hard at the beginning because you barely can't find clear water but once you get an upgrade you can boil the water and get to exploring asap.

Story-wise... meh. If you're looking for an amazing story ...get back to the first 4 Metal Gears.

Now for the dreaded part of the game.
Most haters won't stop talking about it so here are my 5 cents on the matter.
They don't matter at all. You don't need them unless you're a lazy piece of trash and instead of playing the game you want everything from the beginning.
"Hur dur you have to pay 10 euros for an extra CHARACTER slot (emphasis on character since most say it's a save slot...which it isn't)" Yes, but with the level up, coop missions and the game it self...you won't need a second character in quiet a long time, plus everyday you connect you get 30 coins, which in the end you'll be able to use to unlock save slots or XP boosters packs IF YOU F**KING WANT TO.

PROS
-Nice atmosphere
-Tense moments (Specially while you're exploring the dust and you're a retard like me so you forgot to take food or repair de oxigen tank)
-Big map
-Well optimized engine
-Pretty graphics
-Easy building/defense system
-Intersting CO-OP mode

♥♥♥♥
-Might get repetitive if you don't like survival games
-Takes a bit to finally be able to cook decent food
-Some missions seem to be made for CO-OP yet they are on single player and it takes quiet some restarts to beat them
-Saving system. This, so far is something that pissed me off, you only save your progress at your main base, nowhere else. Played for one hour, made quiet the progress and died? You start of the LAST time you've been at your base.
-The price, it's a good game but i totally wouldn't recommend it for 40 euros.
The game feels like a silly DLC that shouldve been released for The Phantom Pain.

In short, A good game if you find it at a good price. But don't expect nothing otherworldish from the game. It's just Phantom Pain with new mechanics and enemies.

Totally didn't expect a free game to be this fun. Sure it's not as tense and scary as Contaiment Breach (because on that one you ain't got no one to help you).
But it's a decent game and I hope they keep updating it and making it even greater. You have fun on all sides (haven't played with all scps... For now I was only chosen as the statue).
The scares are there also since some players go to scare you other than just killing and winning.
The game also led me to amazing moments and laughs.

Got it with a bundle so decided to see if it's THAT bad.
But boy i was wrong.

I feel robbed even though i got it for free

Desde hace años hemos jugado al GTA ♥♥♥ mods, es la mayor atracción para jugar a este juego en PC. Poder instalar diversas modificaciones para personalizar el juego. R* ha decidido prohibirla hasta para modo historia.
