I tried to refund it because of serious crashing issues that seem to be fairly common.

There are some fun moments and with a little bit of polish it would probably be a 6-7/10 game.
Currently it's probably a 4/10.

Robocop is freakishly slow, I could see it being faithful to the source material. However, along with snipers, and land mines being used to slow you down even more, it's pretty apparent.

Your primary weapon sounds great, it's pretty badass. All the other guns make you want to switch back to using the pistol because their sound design is usually worse. The damage of your main gun is pretty ♥♥♥♥ at the harder difficulties. You can easily burst guys with 2-3 salvos without taking them down. They don't stagger much which really undercuts how good your gun should feel.

Using your secondary is disappointing because the ammo capacity is usually quite low, and you don't automatically pick up ammo. You have to actively search out for that particular gun during a firefight which makes you just default back to your main gun.

The physics of characters faces are usually good, but sometimes they have textures/lighting effects that are popping in and out of the backgrounds that are quite noticeable. My game wouldn't run unless I downscaled the resolution, and still crashed a lot, especially during the arcade mission.

Detroit feels pretty dead, people are standing around doing nothing often using recycled poses with their hands on their faces and it breaks the immersion for me. Picking up the same Stolen Wallet, Handbag, or incriminating document is neat for a while, but this gameplay loop is really simple and should have had some other collectible items that make exploring the world worthwhile.

If you've opened one safe, you've opened them all, they're all basically exp dumps without much interesting. I could nitpick more, but with some patches it will be a solid game.

I can't recommend it for $50, wait for the patches.

I think this game really has potential, you can tell it has a lot of love.
The main gameplay loop is very repetitive, and it just feels very grindy. Bartering is very grindy, you have to grind for pages to avoid the main grind. A lot of rare/uncommon/cool potions are so expensive and rare to make it's not worth it. A lot of the rare herbs are neat, but basically they're useless. I'd give this game a little bit of time to refine certain things and it will be a really solid game.

This game has all the promise and hallmarks of a good game, but then you realize the game actively punishes you for completing objectives.

I was really invested into the outcome of the trial. If you collect all the evidence for the trial, the evidence is just as inconclusive as if you did nothing. You spend a lot of resources and time finding out the truth, except you achieve the same result as if you were to ignore the evidence entirely. It's the same with the wedding preparation and the first battle with Radovia which is resolved by The avalanche (Deus ex ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ machina) A majority of the game punishes you with lost resources for *trying* to complete main objectives. The game incentivizes you to ignore the main story entirely while doing the bare minimum.

I really really wanted to like this game. The story removes all the tension and fun from the story when you realize their is no consequence for poor performance or reward for doing well. It doesn't matter.

This game is a lot of fun, its very fun watching poor conscripts turn into fun red mist.
It's not balanced well though, it never feels fair despite being balanced, and relic doesn't provide 3rd party data which would demonstrate the overall win/loss ratio.

I've loved the Dayz Series, I played it nearly 5 years ago from a horribly complicated installer. However the game was, like nothing in it's time, revolutionary. Gritty realstic action, scarcity, murder, mistrust, and weird buggy zombies. That game was incredibly popular and successful.

This was to be it's progeny. New zombie animations, promises to fix the annoying bugs, new engine, and tons of polish! This is where it goes to ♥♥♥♥ sadly. They decided to create an arma 2.5 engine, better than 2, but less than 3. This destroyed the development, I'm sure there are some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ technical reasons why they choose this, but Arma 3 has been out of Alpha and Beta and has DLC's for 2+ years.

To make matters far worse, they've decided that quantity is better than quality. Pushing out ♥♥♥♥ patches to add new content to show off to potential customers, even with a good PC this game plays like ass. You divorced most of the fan base with your *rogue-like elements.* This was a game about testing yourself, killing, trust, winning, and losing. You've reduced it to the mundanity of Detroit backpack and spray paint collector. After piling so much garbage into the game, it starts breaking. You now realize your fatal flaw, Too late! Now they patches slow to a crawl, like the relevancy of this game.

I've been waiting patiently for this game to supercede arma 2 mod, but it hasn't. It never will, do not buy this game, you will only end up dissappointed at the squandered potential of what could have been, and never was.

Great music, dark atmosphere, randomly generated, and a free DLC that is actually a good extension of everything I loved about the game. Tons of races, ship, and weapon customization.

It's like starmade, but visually much more pleasant.
It's still in alpha, I hate that saying, but it's still very polished for what it is.
