The game is really good until you get to the first actual boss and then realize the game has two completely separate and competing genres it's trying to be

Played this a lot on xbox back in the day. Really good game. Replayed recently and it's a bit eh in terms of optimization but it's still a novel and interesting game. I'd give it a 5/10 for replayability, 6.5/10 overall though. Worth playing through once, was really interesting.

I played hundreds of hours of this on xbox 360 as a teenager, recently played it again on there and it still held up. Genuinely astonished at people who think dark souls 1 is in almost any way better. The action queuing in this game (pressing buttons during actions that cause further actions later) is not nearly as aids, so I can roll and accidentally press an attack button and it generally doesn't effect anything. Your actions feel purposeful and not like trying to slide a rock hard turd out of a constipated ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

Also need to fix this "your profile was signed out" ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ asap, how am i supposed to enjoy your game if at any time I can be signed out at complete random and won't be able to get back on for a little while, all because of a bug?

After humankind, coming back to this was unbelievably refreshing. I'd FORGOTTEN how much I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ love this game. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. There's so much fun to be had here, and there's even a few really good mods that add a ton of variety to gameplay styles if you like custom designing empires or having giant maps, or a ton of other options really. This game still feels so much more insanely charming than humankind, as much as that game tries its hardest to be pleasing. The guardians dlc is my second favorite, but almost necessary imo for turning the game into more chaos in the mid-late (where the game usually feels kinda slacking vanilla)


It's worth it, and buy all the dlc (on sale)
3 of the dlc are vastly better than the others
2 are good
2 are mid
still recommending all of them even the mediocre ones like tempest
