The idea behind the story was pretty niche, but after completing the game I can't say it had the same feeling as Watch_Dogs. Yes there was oppression, yes it was an underdog style story, but listening to "Wagwam bruv; Hench bruv" and similar young teenage language and phrasing, I found myself hating nearly all the characters I started with and recruited. The personalities behind each character I recruited (which I did QUITE a few) were miserable and unlikable for me.


The game was alright. Fun enough I guess. But the characters, voice acting, and "HENCH BRUV" make this miserable, and barely close enough for me to agree it can have "Watch Dogs" in the title.


Get it super cheap like 80% off? Go for it. Full price....? I can't recommend.

Eavesdropping mechanic softlocked basically 30 minutes in. Spent over an hour trying to fix it to no avail. Don't waste your time.

Controls are awful, and people who praise this game do so from nostalgia, not from actual enjoyment.

Fun game. Took me about 8 hours of actual playtime to beat it on MemHunter Elite difficulty.

Great story, A bit of alternative loot to collect. Biggest hindrance would have to be the super wonky camera controls. Not sure if it's just 'cause I have to use WINE to launch the game, or just the design; however the camera killed me more times than the difficulty of enemies.

Definitely recommended, and works great with Proton overall.

Always loved the team behind Euro and American Truck simulator. They reinforced that with supporting Ukraine. 100% will purchase the Ukraine Paint DLC for their decisive actions.

So. Game used to be fantastic. I came back to this October 2024, and found the 1.0 version absolutely GUTTED all of the fun, introduced game-breaking and game-ending bugs, and frankly, disappointed me immensely.

I still have my old save file, and the game demands I delete it every launch because it's pre version 1.0 ... Yet I will lose the hundreds of runs worth of grinding for the symbols and relics all because the devs removed the core gameplay loop? Not happening.

Anything you see with content creators prior to this 1.0 update has been defenestrated, leaving only pieces.

DO NOT PURCHASE, you're better off using the High Seas and finding the OG versions.

Definitely a fun game, however even with a fairly mid-end GPU I experienced quite a bit of stutter in the Inferno (And the main hub)

A lot of googling and people say the files fall in %appdata% so it took me a bit to find it for Linux.
