A worthy successor to the classic Banished. Very pretty art style that is mostly grounded with a slight fantasy flair to it. The changing seasons are beautiful to look at, and the survival mechanics are a solid challenge and very tweakable. Combat is a welcome addition as well!

I didn't know it was possible to UN-cook a game. The console release has cut the install size in half as all the detail and effects have been removed. Forget the censoring, the game just looks like it waltzed in from 2008 and has more bugs than ever, like broken AI and non functioning weapons/tools.

Working from home got a lot cozier! The art style is really cute and you get a huge range of customization options for your room and character/pet. The sounds are wonderful too with lots of control, such as thunder, rain (it drips down the windows!), typing sounds, fireplace, cooking noises, and even white/pink/brown background noise. The built in tools for work like the pomodoro sessions and event calendar help to organize any work you do while running this game. Then by taking the time to relax to the sounds and complete my work, I get reward points to earn more cosmetics and pets! A brilliant idea for a program and well worth it, especially if you're at a computer all day.

For some reason this game seems very poplar, and whoever made it is barking mad....but it will leave you pining for the fjords and put the wonder of nature in the palm of your hands.

I'm really glad I decided to check this out on a whim when it was on sale early this year. I had briefly remembered looking at the original Call to Arms years ago and being intrigued yet underwhelmed. But this version, now fully standalone from the original, is so much more high quality than the base game.

This game reminds me a lot of World in Conflict, and I love it for that. It plays similar in a number of ways, from a very quick time to kill on a lot of units, the types of battle strategies that it encourages, and the points system it uses to call in reinforcements instead of using base building and resource gathering.

The detail in the units, maps, and sound design (especially after recent patches) are unlike anything I've ever seen or heard in an RTS. The sound alone is better than most FPS games. Mortar, artillery, and tank barrages are terrifying. The maps are large and littered with tons of details, destructible objects and buildings, building and bunker interiors, trenches, and detailed foliage.

Every troop has a kit, a random name (ex.Lt. John Smith), limited ammo, and limited resources that must be managed with supply trucks. Vehicles have ammo and fuel too, as well as full crews that can enter and exit any vehicle. Vehicles have individual parts that can be damaged and repaired as well. Despite all that, it's simple enough to manage it all and doesn't feel overwhelming.

The game also includes the ability to directly control units. Controlling foot troops is clunky and not that great, so I never use it, but controlling tanks and AT guns works incredibly well and its super immersive. It feels a bit like Warthunder, or like you're playing a scene from the movie Fury.

There's also ample modding support and the use of the Steam Workshop. Shoutout to the mod Valor for providing a number of high quality factions like Italy, Japan, France, and the UK in a way that makes them feel like official content.

Now that the server cap has been much further increased, the log in loop issues preventing the game from being played seems to have subsided!

So with that out of the way, let's recommend this game once more. It's one of the best 4-player co-op games I've ever played, in the leagues of Deep Rock, Left 4 Dead, and the Vermintide/Darktide series. Completely over the top satire very similar to Starship Troopers and somehow even better than the official games of that world. HD2 blew me away with how good the gunplay is, the audio quality, the visual effects, the map variety across the galaxy, and how painless leveling and gearing up are.

The game is just built around pure fun and humor. Friendly fire is a major part of the game and actually is a reason why its so fun, trying to time your airstrikes and reinforcements properly and having a good laugh when you accidentally vaporize your friends with orbital bombardments. Mission objectives are simple but very fun and engaging, with random minigames and great opportunities for seamless teamwork to carry objectives, mark points on the map, and help friends reload heavy weapons. Enemy variety is great too, with bugs and terminator androids as well as a potential humanoid alien race coming soon.

There's also a battlepass/season pass type thing and an in-game store with armor, bought with a premium currency that can very easily be earned in every round you play, making it basically greed free. I've been purchasing almost all the armor rotations in the shop without spending an extra dime.

Was looking for something to scratch that L4D itch, and Back 4 Blood wasn't hitting the right notes. Turns out this game flew under my radar because I don't use epic. Gave this a whirl because the pricepoint is lower and the hordes looked impressively huge.

Not disappointed in the slightest, this game is a lot of fun and really feels like the undead apocalypse with thousands of Zs on screen at once with gruesome gore details. Lots of weapons, characters, classes, and neat settings around the globe. 1st and 3rd person options are very welcome. Weapon sound effects are brutal.

Definitely recommend this as a real L4D successor.

A great little $40 package. No DLC or extra purchases, everything is in the box day 1.

The campaign was surprisingly good, better than I expected for a smaller game that's space combat only. The characters have great variety and voice acting. The length is solid too, it doesn't overstay its welcome and has plenty of good set pieces. They really should add some of the maps from here to the online portion.

The gameplay is fantastic and anyone familiar with Elite Dangerous, Star Citizen, and of course the original X-Wing and TIE games of the 90s will feel right at home. This certainly is no arcade game as the skill ceiling is quite high with lots of loadout options and detailed control over your ship's movement and power systems. There's a lot to learn here but it's quite intuitive. The Empire and Republic are also surprisingly balanced.

The two multiplayer modes are dogfights (5v5 pvp) and Fleet Battles, also 5v5 but with ~50 AI fighters and capital ships. I enjoy that there are less game modes as they could then focus on these two, with Fleets being the premier game mode, which is ranked against players and unranked vs. AI.

I've seen some complaints about bugs with VR and HOTAS setups, but having neither, I cannot comment on those, but Motive has acknowledged those on /r/StarWarsSquadrons, so hopefully that should be sorted soon for those players.

The game is also fully cross platform, so XB1 and PS4 players have been in my lobbies, and this is fantastic for the queue times and population of the game. It's great to have fun with other players in the console world.
