V0.9.2 Hotfixes

We are always committed to addressing your critical concerns. We recently released a series of 4 hotfixes for v0.9.2, with the latest just today.

The latest hotfix includes a pass on combat tuning, based on your feedback, and addresses a number of frustrating issues.

You can read all of the hotfix changes on the official website[forums.crateentertainment.com].

We are now diving deep on preparing the next patch, which will include a number of significant optimization improvements, and of course MOAR!

Performance is still ♥♥♥♥, game is borderline unplayable

The game still only gets a stuttery 30fps with awful frametime for me on a 5800X3D and RTX 4080. When can we expect performance to be fixed? I even prefer this game to manor lords, but manor lords at least is playable and smooth. This game isn't even enjoyable to play in this state. I can't imagine what it's like to play with worse hardware.......

Early Access Review

Almost 900 hours of game play - obviously I enjoy it. One reviewer negatively said "it's not simple enough to be relaxing, it's not hard enough to be challenging" But that's what I like about it. I'm not playing a game to feel over-challenged or frustrated or like a failure. That's what real life is for! I play a game to escape a little, but not fall asleep. My only complaint is the "flatten terrain" which does weird stuff, but I try to play on flatter seeds anyway.

In a resume it's Amazing game! Remember a Age Of Empires but focus in medieval city management. Need some more action, chalenges in the game. The market in the game in a poor point, the interface its strange, dont have references about other cities.

Phenomenal game given that it is still early access. I love the balance it takes to get your town to grow and thrive, such as food, defense, entertainment, education, and work. Can’t wait for the full version!

Can't rebuild a destroyed building because the number of builders assigned is zero and the game won't let me assign more.

Can't get enough hides

Is there a way of large amounts of hide in this game? I've got an upgraded Hunter's Lodge (with 4 traps) for each herd of deer in the game and that's barely enough to keep up with coats and shoes. If I try to make armour, or shields, or anything else, I start to have serious shortages. Ranching animals barely seems to make a difference (I have a shed full of cows, and am growing a goat one) because they breed so slowly. Traders rarely seem to have them, and only in small quantities. Adding more hunters le...

Suggestion: Angled & Curved Walls

Why can't have we curved fortification walls? Or at the very least diagonal ones cutting at 45 degrees? We can place beautiful roads that cut at that angle, or that have smooth curves (so the algorithm to do this already exists in the game), but our walls are forced to only have right angles. Not only is this ugly, but very often I want to build the shortest wall between two places in order to save construction cost and have a shorter perimeter to defend. About the output income of sheep

Increase the types of sheep's output. The most important output of sheep should be wool, and then milk. This game is set to only produce milk, which is illogical.

Right click Farthest Frontier.
Choose “Properties”.
Select the “Betas” tab.
Select the Bear Mode branch in the dropdown box.

Farthest Frontier v0.9.2 is now live!

We are pleased to announce that the Farthest Frontier combat update, v0.9.2, is now live! Recruit new soldier types and enlist the aid of powerful horsemen units to defend your town from new threats! Soldier management has been completely overhauled with military companies and new RTS controls that help you deploy your forces where they are needed most.

But the combat update is not all about combat. Pacifist players can enjoy the addition of goats and chickens, a number of quality of life improvements, such as the ability to request resources from the trading post, and more!
