TL;DR: Story wise, one of the best chapters. Fundamentally, the absolute worst.

Let's start with the positive. I want to highlight the good work that was done in here, and give credit where it's due and deserved.
-Outstanding graphics and character models in my opinion!
-I personally really loved most of the story
-One of the boss fights (The Doctor boss fight and the lamb encounter before it) was really interactive and fun to do!
-Voice acting was really well done!

Alright, that's about it. Time for the bad that ruined the experience for me:

I played this for over 5 hours. I tried so, so hard to make this game work for me. In the end, it comes back to the problem of "longer game = better game", which is exactly what is hitting this franchise where it hurts.

There were:
-An outstanding amount of bugs (Don't even get me started about the entire Yarnaby encounter in no mans land... It took me 2 hours to get through a 10 minute stealth section because he would keep grabbing me through walls and making me have to redo the entire part again due to poor checkpoint placements. I ended having to cheese the encounter with a strat I made up to beat it.)
-Softlocks galore (if it weren't for the autosave system, I almost lost hours of progress at multiple points)
-Unnecessarily complicated puzzles (That one.... stupid... pipe puzzle... took me an HOUR before I figured out that I had to have the steam finish at a VERY SPECIFIC pipe that was never specified.)
-The optimization... I couldn't even bring myself to finish the final part of the game (Doey boss fight) . My frames dropped drastically and I was just too exhausted at that point to continue.
-Missed opportunities (Pianosaurus got 30 SECONDS of screen time. That's it.)
-DOZENS of more problems in each of the categories above. I'm just paraphrasing it!

Apart from the problem of unnecessarily stretching the game time, this chapter had so much potential to be a huge hit. But it needed some more months of work before they officially released it... it's very clear that they didn't perform proper play-testing for the middle and end of the chapter.

Listen, this is coming from the guy who plays souls-like games "for fun" and gives himself little "challenges" in games to make them harder- it feels so, so good to get past a hard part or boss in one of those games. Like, when I beat the first boss in Dark Souls for the first time after hours of attempts, I felt like "YES, I DID IT!" and looked forward to the next challenge. When I got past the hardest parts of THIS chapter, all I felt was "Thank god I don't have to do that anymore". And this shouldn't even be that difficult of a game! It was built off of being a game filled with thrills, chases, small/fun puzzles and a good story. But while trying to one-up themselves, they lost everything that made the game special along the way.

I was really rooting for this game, but was ultimately left with disappointment. Hopefully they fix everything I said above and others are able to enjoy it the way I hoped I would have.

This is worse than Bennet Foddy's game. proceed with caution. I wear a wrist brace now.

GOD I love this ♥♥♥♥

This game is the perfect blend of challenge and style. As soon as you get used to the basics, you start being met with more lethal foes, ready to test your skills.

In Hi-Fi, there's plenty of ways to fight- but your guitar is only as useful as you choose to make it. You're encouraged to get out of your comfort zone, and try new things! Try out combos you've never tried before! Bring enemies into the air! Slam then into the ground! Knock them back up and start all over again! Destroy literally everything around you with the SICKEST GUITAR RIFF OF YOUR LIFE. As long as you follow the beat, the sky's the limit.

The characters are lovable, the story is fun as hell, and there's enough content to leave you satisfied for a WHILE. I'm still working on getting 100% completion!

30 dollars for this game is a STEAL. If you're trying to find something new to play, stop looking. This is it.

You know, I'm not usually very honest with myself when it comes to soul-searching stuff. Like, I'll try my best to, but my view is always naturally biased. This trilogy was a nice breath of fresh air to let me step back and see myself from a neutral perspective. You guys have made something very special here- I'm glad to have experienced it.

My secret words:
Test 1: Order
Test 2: Stranger
Test 3: Appreciative

Thanks for the journey.

"We'll Be right back after these messages..."

Woaaaaah a choose-your-own-adventure with fun, interactive game mechanics AND a dark, incredibly immersive story? SIGN ME UP! Been following this thing since the first release. Can't get enough of it. Where do I start?

Welcome to the National Nightly News!

In this game you play as Alex, where you keep everything working seamlessly behind the scenes for the National Nightly News television program- the biggest news show this side of the country. You're in the big seat, and everyone at home is relying on you to give the best news program they've ever seen!

For your job, you can be expected to have to properly manage camera perspectives, censor words, manage the broadcast connection, as well as making sure that you make the right choices in the name of television, or it's your ass on the line.

"The National Nightly News prides itself on its values..."

Now, here's the catch. SINCE you're the one in the big seat, you control what everyone sees back at home, as well as how they perceive things. Whatever you decide to show on the big screen will have consequences, so choose wisely!

"Don't touch that dial!"

When I first tried this game when it came out, I wasn't expecting much out of it. Maybe a quick little hour-long session of fun. I've never been more glad to be wrong! I can easily see this game becoming an indie classic.

If you enjoyed any aspect of Telltale games, Undertale/Deltarune, or Fnaf, please consider trying this game out! There's a little something here for everybody ;)

"Back to you in the studio, Jeremy!"

Both one of the most creative and fun games I have played in the past 2 years. If you have ANY interest in this game, play it now. DO NOT look up ANY INFORMATION about it. Just play it. You will not regret it
