As a new player I feel like I'm playing filler garbage and got ripped off. The characters look like abysmal vat-grown freaks and the story is so convoluted not even my Destiny veteran friends had a clue what was happening. Don't let your friends talk you into wasting money on this trash

DLSS ultra performance on a 3070, medium graphics, I hit maybe 40 frames consistently.
RTX medium, 18 frames.

Dying Light 1 got its graphics settings nerfed because muh PC Master Race couldn't max everything out without sacrificing performance. Like clockwork the same geniuses who spent 4000 on a graphics card without knowing what it can do are dropping review bombs on a perfectly optimized game.

Tick the "DLSS" button. I'm getting 60-90 frames maxed out + raytracing on a laptop.
It's either that or RTX off.

It's boring: click the heads, press some buttons, get a lecture on what they do lest you find out yourself. So much hand-holding, by the time it's over you've seen nearly everything there is to see.

The setting is wasted, "time looping" is redundant beyond occasional reminders in dialogue. Targets know they respawn daily but conveniently lose their memory; nothing carries over from one run into another, they don't even traverse the map. They just stand around gawking at the wall the same way the writers did at their corny reddit script.

Aside from boring, it lacks personality. Main cast is annoyingly sassy and flanderized while the rest are copy-paste generic cannon fodder, no incentive to care about anything or anyone. There is only one NPC that doesn't shoot on sight and it's because he's stuck on a crane about to be executed. When you rescue him in the morning he forgets by noon and tries to kill you anyway. There was more depth to the Dishonored 2 time travel level than there is to this entire game.

Scuffed Hitman with teleport and 0 variety. The invasions are fun though, when they work. Also really needs a tougher difficulty setting.
Fun for 10 hours, then you start to hate it. Buy on sale only
