I am addicted to this game. It is amazing. Truly fun. You will restart so many times to make your city better.

This game is just like phasmo but way way better. You can finally get rid of the ghost. Plus more maps and features. This game should become very popular. I highly suggest giving it a try!

It is a good game.

This game is great. It has all the features of the games I love and hold dear and made it into something new. Servers are stable, game is stable. Launch was without issues. Devs are responsive game is not 60 dollars. It is totally worth it. The gameplay is amazing. Honestly shocked how well it is put together.

This game has a lot of haters but is honestly really good. I put in 60 hours in 3 days on pre release and every moment was awesome. I will stay the combat is super fun it seems complex but it is really not. You will enjoy it just give it a chance. Plus its free so why not? Avoid launch day issues and your fine :)

Alright, I have not even beat a campaign yet and I got to say its totally worth it. Especially if you got a buddy to play along. This game provides so many hours of fun. You might need a few mods to make the game more fun *cough* upkeep mod *cough* but this game is stupid fun. Win impossible situations along your co op partner and lay waste to everyone. I feel this is one of the best total wars I have ever played.

Genesis 1 is meh but genesis 2 is absolutely amazing well worth the wait. Highly recommend.

So after running my own server a 4x4 twice and having to turn it off because of the lack of players I'm finally done. Seriously there are barely enough people to play official let alone unofficials. At the time of this writing roughly on average 1,500 in total play this game daily and it's not improving you will rarely see a spike in the player base other than it going on sale. It is easy to see this game has great potential but honestly it's wasted by the developer's "vision" and how they are progressing the game.

PvP in this game is fun and overall pretty damn good. However, the developers seem to have tunnel vision and only are focusing on this. The PvE content to keep you playing is not there. PvP is not fun if there is no one to do it with. They really need to add more fun PvE content for the players to be engaged and continue doing something. As it stands now after a few weeks you run out of things to do and quit.

The new ship system they are introducing is honestly taking the soul out of the game with modular ships. No one will have unique styles anymore, it will just be bland. They have made it clear in their q&a's that they are focusing only on modular ships. The game bought a sense of joy with customizing and building your ship from the ground up. You would rarely ever see similar-looking ships. You would think a pirate game would have lots of ships in it. But nope, it doesn't and they will only be making modular ships from now on.

The bugs in this game are pretty extensive still after almost 3 years in early access it has progressed very little, the boss fights are buggy, annoying, and lack any real fun because of the issues they do have. Honestly, it's become a running joke at this point. Traveling across tiles still comes with the risk of losing things to this day.

The gold system has really killed it for many players. To build ships now you have to farm gold... Like why? They continue to make the boat aspect of the game unfun. The only way to fix that is by running your own server and modding that out. But then you run into the issue of 100's of servers and very little player base.

The modding community is a joke right now. If you do want to see any really great mods you'll be forced to join specific servers that don't release their mods due to the fear of losing that remaining player base the game has to offer. Which overall just hurts the game when you lock away good mods behind 1 server, the community would hugely benefit from them being released but that is not going to happen again for the fear of losing the dwindling player base atlas. There are barely any great mods and most of the modders have left already. Leaving the mods decaying and breaking.

If you truly want to enjoy this game, singleplayer seems to bring a ton more content than multiplayer can. You get npc's and raidable bases at least. Which the developers refused to put in for dedicated servers no idea why they would do that.

Overall atlas in theory is a wonderful idea. But the developers have spat and kicked dirt on it ruining what it could have become. And with them not wanting to listen to the community it will not improve. I wish it well and will check back in on it every so often but the love and soul of the game has died.
