You can beat this in 10 minutes, I just really needed to poop so the game was on pause for almost two hours.

I'm pretty desensitized to games but by the end of this one I was genuinely grinning ear to ear. Don't be fooled by the play time, the game is maybe 2-3 hours long and it doesn't overstay it's welcome, it's brilliant as it is.

The game itself is very good, you get a great action flick for the money you pay - with great character development, plot twists, gameplay additions and likely a better experience than the previous instalment offered. I'm recommending and warning you against buying this game at the same time.

You have the problems - the game's approach to puzzles is literally insulting to your intelligence. Every time you encounter a puzzle, the companion you're with tells you how to solve it before you even have a chance to take a look around. "Hey, maybe that thing above you is gonna open a pathway" and that's literally every puzzle in the game. This should be an accessibility option, you should be able to shut your companions up when you're trying to solve the already trivial puzzles. Sure the combat is still nice, story is nice, but this? Its insulting. Not a single puzzle goes without your companion telling you exactly how to solve it. "Woow, what if we freeze this?" and the moment you try anything, they will say something like "oh no maybe lets try something else" or "oh yes we did it" to indicate the correct solution which they already gave to you to begin with.

LOOK HERE ----> The PSN drama isn't as bad here as it was with helldivers, since in helldivers you could buy and play the game for like 3 months before they made it impossible to play for some regions. Here on the other hand you had warnings of the PSN requirement from the very start. Is it okay to have mandatory PSN requirements for a PC version of a single player game?
Definitely a garbage decision which is clearly one of the biggest flaws of the newer games to come out. Some regions will require you to link a phone number to check your age, I think it is the case for the UK. The other ones will ask for your postal code and real name - it's all going to a third party website which is KNOWN for losing your data to frequent data leaks and hacks. Obviously PSN doesn't care whether you own or even intend to own a PS5 for this, you still need the account because they want to collect more data, it's as simple as this.

Having said that, I think the game itself is great, the unlocked framerate makes it even smoother to play to be honest. Then on the other hand, if you're not okay with this invasion on your personal data security, maybe rethink purchasing it. Same applies to some specific regions of the world which require even more data than other regions. I really suggest you look it up before you buy the game.

TLDR: PSN bad, game doesn't respect your intelligence with insane amounts of handholding but good story and good gameplay overall. Not goty but buy this if you can overlook the PSN drama.

My political views in this game were so centrist, the game literally called me an unbelievably boring f**ck. It's also an achievement so now everybody knows I'm boring.

It's secretly a horror game. I mean really this game is pretty stress inducing, also if you pay attention to detail on some of the maps, it gets really dark.
It's a good game but not easy to recommend to everyone, it's pretty tactical and there's a lot of weight behind shooting and even simply moving through the maps. The maps themself are brilliant, Maybe the dlc ones are a bit weaker.

TLDR: If you already played hollow knight and ori will of the wisps, this is a decent game if you get it at a discount. If you haven't, play hollow knight instead - you will thank me later.

Basically you can judge a game as a product or as a medium of art - this game is worse product than it is just a fairly decent game. First of all some of the combat mechanics are really bland here. Then there's the ubisoft connect requirement which is certainly a deal breaker for many people. Other than that exploration is pretty decent, platforming is quite fun, and all in all this is a fairly nice game since I did decide to buy it twice after finishing it on epic games. If you enjoyed the older prince of persia games, you will most likely enjoy this too. From what I can recall the game is roughly about 15-20 hours long.

Another issue is that a lot of people are encountering bugs such as crashes and lost progress due to saves not working properly, so the launch on steam isn't nearly flawless. That being said, I still consider this to be a mediocre metroidvania with fairly nice exploration, combat besides some of the honestly bad boss fights and also decent dialogue. Keep in mind all of this is coming from a person who spent upwards of 200 hours on hollow knight, and I still recommend hollow knight over this game, but perhaps if you see it on gamepass or at a discount below 20 euro - I'd say go for it.

Coming back to judging a game as a product vs judging it as a medium of art, and all the talking about hollow knight. Hollow knight is a 10\10 product, for the amount of content and the quality of it - hollow knight is immune to criticism, you can't complain about a game thats an obvious masterpiece released at 10 dollar price. As a product of art - obviously you can pick on hollow knight all you want, but when it comes to choosing which metroidvania to play, Id really really recommend starting with hollow knight, moving to ori and the will of the wisps, and then playing prince of persia the lost crown last. If you already played all of these, than I have no doubt you understand exactly what I mean and you'll probably see this prince of persia game as a solid 6.5 or 7 out of 10, but not more (which still doesn't mean this game isn't worth your time. Also, yes this is one of the actually good ubisoft games and after years of constant garbage that they re-release, this one is an actual complete game with story and with no microtransactions or live service elements, which is a breath of fresh air. So I would say that the team behind this game deserves to be commended, even though the subtitles show something like 20 000 people working on the game.
