Definitely doesn't have the charm of the VN it was inspired by, but the end of Act 1 that I got (Anna) was reminiscent enough that I didn't mind the departures in form. The music is somewhat forgettable and the character designs are a bit more on the Western side, but not a bad cast in terms of character/personality at all. I'm hoping that it gets new content soon, I am genuinely eager to see the rest of the game. The writing is not obtuse, either, it's a light read, so it's possible to get through a route rather quickly. Choosing a girl is pretty straightforward, so I assume you can make a save before you "lock in" to play each of the routes. Solid VN choice and it warms a bitter truecel's heart to know that Steam Zoomers will have their heart broken by a certain brand of Katawa at some point, as well.
