It took a while, but I found this video explaining everything.
When you are inside of someone (partly/entirely colliding with someone's hitbox?), the flame particles can get through some doors like that doors on dustbowl.
What you do is not wrong, but it requires specific angle at the specific place, and because of that, I think it sometimes works and sometimes not. But, by using my method, you only require one more person to just kill people.
You can try it later by yourself on casual, or with your friends later, and choose what fits better to you, what is more convenient and easier to perform.
