I don't enjoy poker or gambling, so when I first heard about this game, I thought that this game would never be for me. But after hearing glowing reviews over and over again, I finally caved and gave it a shot. And honestly? I haven’t looked back since.

At first glance, the game’s intimidating setup almost scared me off—150 joker cards, 22 tarot cards, 32 vouchers, 11 planet cards, 15 decks, and 5 variants of each joker. My brain immediately went into overload just reading the list and I spent a few weeks debating whether or not to buy it. But here’s the thing, It’s not as complicated as it sounds. Once you break it down, the game is surprisingly simple. At its core, it’s just your poker chips multiplied by your score modifier. All the extra cards and variants only serve to add depth or change the numbers—it’s really just about that basic math equation and scaling to reach higher score quotas. My advice: don't be scared and just jump in.

I highly recommend giving this game a try. It’s quick to learn, incredibly fun, and addictive in the best way. If you’re looking for something rewarding that keeps you coming back for more, this is it right here.

I don't know if I'll be able to emotionally recover from this. How do I erase this from my memory?

I visually aged 20 years after dropping into a quick-play with randoms to fight the automatons.

In the sea of mediocre dogwater games that have been releasing back to back for the last couple years I finally found a game that leaves me with my jaw dropped from the start. Holy moly.

The art direction, the graphics and visual style, the atmosphere and world design, the visual & combat FX... phenomenal.
I feel like I'm really in a fantasy picture book. This feels like when you watch anime and the characters are playing a video game and you're like wow I wish video games were really like that. This one is really like that.

Not only that, the story chapters are so immersive from the cutscenes, to the boss fights and world exploration, to the scripted panning of the camera and event sequences. I don't know how to explain the feeling I have playing through the story but the best I can describe it is that it feels like I'm playing a game in 4D. If you've played so much as the prologue then you know what I'm talking about.

I'm so tired of playing these story games where you just walk through a soulless generic world doing random tasks that a plumber could do, let alone a hero, and there has really not been one moment where I'm not fully hooked playing this game. I'm not finished with the campaign yet but I'm looking forward to finishing it this weekend and start gearing up my characters to tackle boss fights together with friends and fellow GBF enjoyers online.

P.S.: Yes, I am aware some people are experiencing bugs at the moment. If this concerns you then wait for the first patch / hotfix cause this game is worth it.

P.S.S.: Tbh there is literally no reason to buy the special edition as it gives you no type of unique special edition cosmetics or profile showcases. I'd argue that the special edition actually hurts your overall experience since it gives you a bunch of money, skill points, and upgrade materials that you'd have way more fun coming by naturally. If you want to buy it for the color packs then just buy the base game + color pack 1-3 which will be the same price as the special edition which funny enough comes with color packs 2-3 but not color pack 1.

Playing this game with friends, finding new secrets together, defeating hordes of enemies and bosses together, trying out new weapons and armor combinations together... this is what gaming is supposed to be all about. I haven't had this much fun in a coop experience in ages. This is an easy 10/10 for me without even needing to get into the graphics, gameplay loop, and the content (which it has tons of).

Overall really solid survivors style rogue. The overall retro space theme where you play as a ship is quite refreshing as opposed to the average mage/warrior tropes of survivor-style games.

Most of the character's are very fun and diverse with a few exceptions. My personal favorites are the "dash" heavy character, Nitro, who starts the game with every possible dash upgrade already equipped. Pair this guy with the orbital weapon upgrade where all orbital weapons mirror your dash abilities and you have some extremely fun and chaotic moments during your run. My second favorite was probably Gary, who has a special ability where all his orbital weapons become autonomous and go around killing enemies for you. You can pair this ability with close range explosions for added insurance while your orbitals take care of the mobs.

My only critiques:
- Add an infinite mode (since the game is designed to kill you around threat level 40-50)
- Tweak the upgrade (Scrap-Ups) algorithm a bit... since I often found myself rarely getting upgrades I chose a long time ago versus almost always getting upgrades I recently selected
- Rework Big Baz's knockback ability more useful as there is currently no reason to pick him over the rest of the cast
- Rework Olive's mine ability so that enemies can detonate it... IMO it defeats the purpose of a mine if I have to activate it myself which is already tedious enough to do effectively since Olive is the only character that cannot stand still and always has to be moving. Maybe make it so enemies that trigger a mine decrease the cooldown of the next mine? idk.

All in all I had a great time playing and I'll be looking forward to the updates!

Great game for the price, especially when it's on sale. Very chill and relaxing rogue with a fun and casual theme which is a breath of fresh air compared to the other slightly sweatier, adrenaline pumping rogues. This game is quite simple and not too punishing which is what they're going for. There is the optional challenge of increasing the difficulty through modifiers but once you've fought all the enemies and bosses it's pretty simple to complete a run consistently. The controls play quite nicely as well.

Now for the gameplay, there is a large variety of 80+ weapons to find in the dungeon as well as power-ups, pets, and weapon upgrades. In terms of the weapons, there are clearly winners and losers, the bad weapons tend to be bad due to them attempting to be too unique and end up gimmicky and the good weapons tend to be leagues above the rest in combination with certain weapon mods you can equip as a part of the rogue experience. For example, a few guns shoot extremely fast and have a recoil that's so bad that it pushes you to the opposite corner of the map but if you add a weapon mod that makes bullets never miss an enemy and a mod for 100% range you can basically go through every floor comfortably without being touched. The pets are a cool feature but for how much they cost in gold within the dungeon, 95% of the time it's better to just save your gold to buy weapons from the gun store or weapon mods from the vending machine. I treat pets as more of an icing on the cake if I find them in a random chest for this reason. The weapon mods themselves can leave a bit to be desired as well but I have no real complaints. The enemies are are a bit of a cake walk to defeat. I found myself taking more damage from enemies due to stage design rather than due to them being tough, not to say the stages are poorly designed, just that some can be a little tight. The bosses are rather simple as well but they play very nicely. Some are harder than others, which is a given, but for most bosses I found myself just standing still and shooting at them until they start to move and then I repeat.

Not any big cons at all honestly, the game is pretty great for what it is. Only a few annoyances I ran into such as enemy death animations take way too long which gets a bit annoying when you factor in 2 things; chests only spawn once the map is cleared and with a modifier that makes it so enemies explode on death it turns enemies into time bombs rather than postmortem bombs which can sometimes lead to a lot of damage taken when trying to dodge bullets in a tight map and you have no choice to either take a bullet or retreat to an enemy death bomb that should have exploded 3 seconds ago. There is also a certain enemy that looks like a jiangshi berry with yellow tags on it (has a regular and mini-boss version) that lets off a AoE scream ability from time to time and this ability persists during the death animation and sometimes activates during the death animation as well, had a few hearts robbed this way across my runs. Last annoyance is that menu navigation is a bit slow, it is not as fast as you can click and press the keys or thumb sticks.

All in all, a very solid game for a great price. I had a ton of fun playing this game and the runs were very chill for the days that I didn't want to play something more hardcore and instead just wanted to game for the sake of gaming. Love the art and the consistent theme. If you see this game on sale definitely consider a buy!

Step in gum on my way to the station
The crowd squeezes out my frustration
And now I'm taking heat in the classroom
Oh well, I'll eat some donuts in the bathroom

Now I hear my friend got herself a boyfriend
They're going out for barbecue on the weekend
I see all of the smiles in their pics online
Wait, why is that making me cry?
Oh, my prince charming, where can I find you?
How do I remind you of the dream we share?
But dreams are just for dreamers
Lonely hearts and schemers
I've got to break the chains of fate on my own!
Let's go, let's go, let's go!

Lonely girls across the world, let's wake up and fight!
Worlds apart with beating hearts unite the light through the night
If the boys want to reach us they'll have to keep up
Without you, I am only half,

I need to be whole

Gameplay is great but why tf do they need my phone number now?? Was having an AI listen in to every voice chat conversation not enough?

I genuinely do not understand why this company tries this hard to prevent players from talking smack to each other in a M-rated competitive game yet they refuse to fix most of the issues the players actually have real complains about.
