About us

Vanilla Half-Life 2 Roleplay is a community founded by Mags, doorag and chair.

Our vision is to create a community where game requirements are toned to it's bare essentials with minimal requirements to create a vanilla experience with a community that can make the most out of it.

Firstly, we'll be starting off with Nova Prospekt and building a contained playerbase and making our way up! Remember, we're still new and building!

Our approach since launch is to build up City 19, a formerly abandoned city after the 7-hour war, which slowly shifts more and more into what we experience in Half-life 2.

Your role as a new resident is to take part in the relocation of City 19. Reason can be one of many that lead to your labor assignment in the production block.

Work has a dynamic impact in our city by unlocking new opportunities demanded by the Combine, however opposite objectives arise from unidentified resistance cells to nudge the progression in their favor.

We are stepping down on our hosting budget. As of now we have had a host that has had a much higher quality than we have required, in order to save money for more reasonable purchases will we be changing host to one that suits us better.q

Hardcore Development #2

Today we fixed yesterday's issues though ran into new ones. Here's a list of changes and bugs we found.

Added:
1. Citizen VCs
2. Combine Worker Models
3. Diverse plugins to promote hardcore mechanics (warmth, hunger etc...)

Fixes:
1. Resources + tool crafting are now finished.

Bugs:
1. Unstaticable static trash.
2. Containers are trash.
3. Tokens do not save in containers.
4. Unstable trash respawn rate.
5. Permakill not active when a player kills another.

If you are or know a dev who is looking for a coding position: we welcome with open arms as we do have some obstacles which we have mentioned in our previous hardcore log.

We try to do our best with novice coding, but sometimes these obstacles may get too complicated which requires us to extend to people who can solve them.
