The Friendly Server | ARK & Conan PvE Cluster

Join The Friendly Server - home of the best community in ARK and Conan.

We have one of the friendliest and most welcoming communities in gaming, supported by a team of active adult admins who are dedicated to the enjoyment of our members.

We run weekly ARK events including boss arenas, scavenger hunts, PvP events and more, both in the main servers and on the clustered Event Map.

Each of our game clusters (ARK and Conan) runs on four high specification, enterprise level dedicated servers, employing the latest i7 7700 processors, 64Gb memory and a 10gigabit network connection for lag-free gaming.

Important announcement regarding Genesis 2 map

The new, clean Genesis 2 migration map is now open - available to join after the midnight restart.

Our Genesis 2 map has been so over built, over used and abused since it's launch 18 months ago that its save file is a bloated lagfest - and there is nothing I can do to fix that. I'm working on getting us new hardware (will be in the new year, possibly early spring)... but that is unlikely to fix the problem.

But I'm not letting the FS have a bad map - so we are going to make Genesis 2 a playable space again - playable for harvesting, doing missions, game progression, bosses, collecting explorer notes/etc.

The only way to do this, is to get rid of the all the historic overbuilding and worldfile bloat.

So we are going to migrate to a new, clean Genesis 2 map.

THIS IS NOT A WIPE. YOU WILL LOSE NOTHING.

This isn't a "wipe"... it's a migration. You will have THREE MONTHs... until Easter 2023... to move your stuff to the new map.
We have developed an S+ Dedi Storage Moving tool to help with this process.

Genesis 2 specific rules

The Rules have been updated... see our rules page. Near the bottom of the list - rule 32 details the additional restrictions that apply to Genesis Part 2.

These are:

32. Genesis 2 is reserved for map gameplay content only - taming, harvesting, note collection, missions and bosses. No bases.

Players will be allowed one very small outpost for the purposes of enabling the gameplay - maximum size:

  • one platform with shield (no walls)
  • or one foundation build max 100 foundations and max 4 walls high (or 1x S+ "large" wall) (plus roof)
  • or one mushroom hut with external non-build structures (tp/geny/transmitter/etc) within an area of 100 foundations total size

Shields on foundation or mushroom structures must not exceed 10x10. No shields permitted on the bridges. No building in air-locks.

Minimal internal structures "within reason" for gameplay - such as beds/tp/geny/transmitter/basic storage/etc/etc... but not breeding, mass storage, mass processing.

Outposts can be pretty, some decor is OK but keep it small and simple.

The Philanthropist returns

Today, we have been graced by a visit from our great friend The Philanthropist.

During our conversation it was revealed that, a long time ago, he travelled to the Exiled Lands and embarked on many adventures in that place. He has many stories to tell. As we have exiles within the Friendship of the FS - he has decided that he will also share some of his great treasures with the Exiles of Conan. He may, in the future, share some of his stories too.

We reviewed the treasures he left with us in the Arks, and found that most of his statues had been found, but not claimed. Which is rather dismaying - but he is undeterred and has left us with new treasures for the Arks too.

For now - he has left us with 5 treasures to find in the Exiled Lands, and 12 Treasures to find in the Arks. They are listed below. He has promised to return again in a few weeks.

Each treasure is represented by a token, held in a statue of the philanthropist, located somewhere within our maps. When you find a statue - take the token and bring it to Phokxx to swap it for the treasure that he has left us.

In the Exiled Lands
  • A prying kit (removed kits from gear) (token #1)
  • A Healing Waterskin - fill it with water and each sip will heal you. (token #2)
  • The Pokey Pokey. A unique weapon, once owned by the leader of a secret peoples. There is only one Pokey Pokey. (token #3)
  • An everburning torch - a torch that never burns out. (token #4)
  • A spyglass - a handheld telescope that lets you see great distances (token #5)
