Vietnam 1955-75 Mod Steam Group

Hi all!

I have some super important news. The mod for a few years has been on and off with members working hard to bring you the ultimate Vietnam experience to Men of War: Assault Squad 2. But there have been a few problems. The main ones being, lack of communication and dicussion within the team, ripped assets and time.


POINT 1: TEAM COMMUNICATION
We, the Vietnam mod dev team where allways busy, but not with MoW. We all had college, school jobs ect to do and the little time had on the mod was playtesting and tweaking.

POINT 2: RIPPED ASSETS
The Vietnam mod never had a 3D modeler, as a team we all talked about donations, the money would go to buying models online or paying people. this never happend so I made the bad decision of asking people to rip assets from other games. My position on ripped assets has changed over time, at first, as a new mapper to MoW, mapping with HD assets with nice textures was the best and made the map look great. But slowly over time, I started to realize that this was a BIG mistake and that I was in the wrong for wanting these stolen assets in the mods I was working on. I will possibly post a full Q&A on the Zaqpak Mapping Group soon so you understand more.

POINT 3: TIME
We where all really busy and frustrated with progress, we didn't have the time or people to work on maps, missions or anything else, we where all working on too many projects.

THIS ISN'T THE END
It's not the end of the mod, let me point this out. I am just publicly telling you that I am not the owner of the mod anymore, and that I don't want to work on it. The new owner is Billnye and Ruemc. I will promote them on this group so they can post stuff here such as the new ModDB page. No streams with the Vietnam mod or The pacific mod will take place from now on, I have decided to work on a much bigger project, much larger than all mods I have worked on before, with my own 3D models and textures and maps. I am not allowed to talk about it much but sometime there will be videos on my channel.

I thank all of you for joining this group, supporting Billnye, Cool Shark and myself since the start and I'm looking forward for this project to grow! I wish the new owners and the team the best of luck and I hope they don't abandon the mod. This is the last annoncement I will post. Again I can't thank you enough for your support!!
