Mowas2 Regicide Tournaments

Mowas2 Regicide is a monthly 1v1 tournament held on the last weekend of each month for fun to the people that like the thrill of playing the game a bit more seriously. The tournament is open to anyone who wants to join and only requires you to show up in steam on the time listed in each months tournaments announcement

Tournament Format:

when the players have gathered the organizer will arrange brackets for a single elimination tournament in challonge and pair each player with their opponent.

For maps we will use set of map packs and we will rotate them each month to avoid playing the same maps too much while not having to force players to practice every single possible map.

Match Format

Matches will be BO3 rounds

Veto: Before hosting or picking map the player not picking map will veto 1 map from the map pool that cannot be picked that round, then depending on latency

Round 1

If latency difference >150ms then
A - Hosts
B - Map Pick
A - Faction Pick

else

B or midway host - Hosts
B - picks map
A - picks faction first

Round 2- Reverse roles

Round 3-In the case of a match going to a 3rd round roles will be decided by a coin toss. Winner of cointoss will choose whether he is A or B

Additional rules
- Same map cannot be played twice in one match
-if someone crashes/disconnects the player who didnt crash can choose to replay the round or take the win.
-To avoid complicated rules all "exploits" such as farshooting are allowed but frowned upon in various degrees.
-The sides for axis and allies, resource settings and other settings are the ones default in the game.
-unsportsmanlike like ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ will be kept to a minimum
-Gentleman's agreements. If the 2 players agree on an additional rule such as "neither of us will farshoot" breaking the rule intentionally is grounds for disqualification as unsportsmanlike behavior
-Some of the games will be streamed so stream sniping is prohibited
-Being unresponsive when needed without agreed upon breaks for 15 min is grounds for disqualification to stay on schedule
These are guidelines not letters of law. All rulings will be made on spot by the tournament organizers. If you have any questions regarding rules contact the organizers
