Friends who play foxhole with a common intrest in wreaking the enemy!

The group was created as an easy way to communicate. The Steam app is a usefule extention of steam for the purpose of seeing who is online and planning meet up times for play sessions for the game FOXHOLE. Currently we are: sending text, Discord messages, and using teamspeak. This group will give us a common voice and allow us to be more efficient with our time.

As for the group name, you do not have to be just a grenadier. We wreak fools with:

I logged in with the hopes of building a gunboat, would today be fruitful now that they were unlocked?

Looking at the map, I noticed We had lost some ground. We were now pushed back to home base. Checking the stockpiles, I was able to see we had no resources stored. I quickly check for gunboat requirements (120 scrap for blueprints)- I can easily gather this, and do. The blueprints will only take 30 mins. This will allow me plenty of time for component gathering. Before I could check the map for the nearest component deposit, a fellow sargent is offering to take workers to the isles to the east of my location. I rode in his truck which he loaded onto a barge. The trip was quicker than I thought and I was back to hammering away again for some scrap and then components. Before he left he told me I could use a nearby truck. I gathered about 500 scrap and 250 Components. In a nearby FOB I locate a wrench and was able to take one of the many barges left on the beach by other players who have logged off. Once I make the trip back across the sea, I cue up machine gun ammo and light artillery shells.

Around this time, Thumbert and Yggdrasil logg in. Together we build the gunboat with the refined components and cross the sea with the gunboat and barge. After loading ammo, fuel, and shells, we set out to aid the front. We decide to take out observation forts which would cut off supplies and resources needed by the enemy soldiers as well as visibility. Our efforts are a success! We take down two forts by way of artillery fire. It was as easy as having the driver (Yggdrasil) keep us out of enemy range and Thumbert (spotter) using his binoculars to relay me the coordinates to fire my shells. Our fortune takes a turn when Thumbert is shot while spotting and he bled to death. Yggdrasil and I begin to head back but encounter an enemy gunboat. Yggdrasil skillfully evaded their onslaught of machine gun fire. Switching seats, I returned fire with our 14 mm rounds as Yggdrasil postions our gunboat behind theirs. Before long they are destroyed and we watch their bodies fall from the wreakage and vanish into the sea.

Needless to say, it was glorious! Next to the light tank, gunboats are quite fun!

Where do I begin?

So the three of us log in (Nerding, Yggdrasil, and Monkey). We run some small logistics and form a grenadire squad and head north. We successfully push the Wardens back and capture Report. Once in Report we build defenses and build a safehouse. The name of the game is defense, or in other words, foxholes. Like foxholes, a safehouse will fire at enemies as if it is manned. For safehouses you can't build them with a hammer and pressing the 'B' button, you need to build a Construction vehicle (CV). Load it with fuel and build it near a garrison at HQ or in a city we have captured. The CV can hold tons of bulding materials (B Mats). 250 B Mats are needed to construct a safehouse. The focus fire from a safehouse is verry intense and it can house friendly troops.

Our success was dampered by the fact the enemy was abile to grab the town between us and the capital, cutting us off from our supplies. I stayed in report until it fell, fighting two armored cars with another player. It wasn't pretty. Once the forward opperating base (FOB) fell, I could no longer respawn there.

As for the rest of the day and night, we worked to secure the beach head from enemy barges. This was fun. We push the enemy back only to have them use there howies. We traded field machine gun fire, granades and armored car combat for hours. This was peppered with: A small logisic push for B Mats gathring, supply manufaturing and delievering.

Lives were lost and experience was ganined. Lessons learned:
-Build towers for radio updates of the enemy movemets.
-Build defenses on the beach to prevent landings.
-Upgrading foxholes to gun nest ASAP
-Grenadiers are useful and very effective at slowing the enemy push
-Safehouses are important to build early when taking a towns.
-At the beginning of the the war (as we are now) defense and cleaver use of the availible research unlocks is key to success.
-Manufactured crates of supplies should be loaded in a supply truck directly and delievered to a FOB, no need to assemble them at the main garrison.
-20 is the magic number of grendes to carry with a a gas mask, rifile, 1 magazine and 1 grenade launcher. This is a recipe for wreaking fools. The fool wreakage increases as the the player count with this loadout grows. Just three of us on the front cause the line to shift back a great distance!.

The more I play the better sense of the big picture is aquired. This is WAR. resources, upgrades , defenses and fire power. Each map playes different and brings its own challenges. My goal would be to get a Warship and patrol the beach and attack the mainland. <--------This would be fun!
