Rewinding...

Hello again, everyone. I just wanted to check in on the group and say I'm still around, and I hope everyone is as well. This is a late milestone announcement, but better late than never!

First of all, I would like to thank everyone for helping us reach the 500 members milestone. When I first made this group, I always thought it would remain at a modest 10 or 20 members because it was mostly me and some friends - just a bunch of '90s babies barely scraping the surface. But, to my surprise, we've quietly gained members over the years despite its dormant state and some of us growing up and apart. Of course, it's still a mystery to me, but as they say, don't look a gift horse in the mouth. But for that, I'm glad you're all here, and I thank you all again for being one of the reasons I feel comfortable with my interests.

Health-wise, I have been doing much better since my last announcement. I won't go into details, but it should be under control now. And regarding the previous announcement's proposal for group movie nights, I've gotten no response for that, but the door stays open. Finally, a small shout-out to the music sharing thread that's still active - it's the little things that count!

And now, I will address the elephant(s) in the room. I didn't make an announcement for the 400 members milestone because I figured I should wait for the 500 members milestone instead before making another announcement. Then 2020 happened, and boy did it happen.

There is too much to mention here, but the obvious is that the pandemic was the last thing anyone needed. It hasn't been the best of times for everyone, myself included. My biggest advice to everyone is to be there for each other. Yes, it is hard right now, but it will be much harder when we forget those around us who are also struggling. Sometimes it slips from our minds that there are those who care and want to see us get better. Simply asking each other about our days can mean the world. If there was a time to be decent to one another, it is now and has been for the last two years. We are all in this together and should never forget who we were before. Remember that the world truly falls apart when we let ourselves.

I apologize for the brief rant; I felt it was important for everyone to hear.

With that said, I hope everyone is enjoying their summer winter so far. I know these last two years have been a confusing mess for everyone, and we're all hoping 2022 will take a turn for the better. I firmly believe we will get there if we hold on together.
