ABOUT 59 Volt Entertainment

Creators of The Starry Expanse Project

59 Volt Entertainment is a game development company founded in 2008, comprising of dedicated and talented individuals from all over the globe.

We are currently working on The Starry Expanse Project, a collaborative attempt to create a realtime 3D port of Riven: The Sequel to Myst. We carefully study screenshots and videos taken from the original game and recreate it to the best of our ability.

This group is for 59 Volt developers and fans alike to socialise, talk about the project and its goals, and give us an excuse to close Unity for a few hours and play some Team Fortress.

I liked knocking on that door in the village area to get one of the (live-acted) NPCs to look at me

I am also playing the latest realMyst, and was not happy with how dumbed-down the mazerunner looks, and how static the trees of Channelwood are when I'm at the highest treehouses. The skins on the characters in Myst V kept glitching into horrifying messes (think, 4 nostrils for the villain) I personally want to keept the Riven live actors in this remake, because it seems that out of all myst games, Riven has had the most work put into its filmed characters, costumes, and props.
