Greetings to all living members. In an attempt to rekindle interest in 4X multiplayer action and to keep in touch with all of you guys, I'll be creating discussion threads for a handful of games. Each thread in this group will be given a title corresponding to the game that we're organising a multiplayer session for. This will initially include games like Dominions 5, Civ V/VI, and Endless Legend.

For play-by-email games, I'll post relevant information provided by the host and we can use the first few responses as proof of player participation. Links will be provided for accessing turn files, etc. and we'll keep track of game progress there.

For live games, we'll similarly gather up players via the activity in a thread. Once we coordinate a time and duration, we can play and progress through timed segments (e.g. say, 2 hours per segment) of our 4X multiplayer session. That way, we can keep games rolling without demanding that players commit obscene amounts of time all at once.

I hope some of you will see this and are the least bit intrigued! I'll try and take part in as many games as I can to contribute to the total number of participating players. We can tentatively use Discord as a mode of communication to facilitate/improve immersion. Of course, if there are any other games you want to add to the list, please champion them. We're ultimately trying to connect 4X players and the games themselves are of secondary importance. It would be a pity to have no other option than to play against cold, calculating machines :)
