Between zero clarity in the terrain (what's walkable or shootable) and incredibly bullet spongy enemies, combat in this is much more of a slog than it was on earlier patches.
Horrible railroady plot got brought more and more front and center. Who asked for forced talking interactions when you're looting random objects? Not being able to get into areas that you have the key for because you haven't talked to an NPC (that you can kill) was an old problem that prevented genocide runs and it never got fixed.

If you already own this then maybe consider depot downloading an older version where combat was a bit faster and playing it with a friend. Otherwise, give it a miss. Unfortunately the direction of development isn't a positive one.

I got this on a hunch and absolutely loved every minute of it. It's gory and funny. The combat is difficult but not impossible. It was really fun to play. I hope you guys can finish it! I'm stuck at the mountain pass gate waiting for an update!
