It has some great ideas and mechanics, but overall very bugy, random and confusing.

(hopefully) not the worst half life 2 mod, but definitely the worst one on steam.

Some good, some bad. Very average gameplay.

I like how it let's you play as a combine. it reminds me of how Opposing Forces has you play as a soldier against Gordon.
That said the story is pretty lackluster on first glance. It feels like you're playing as a cop who is just having a really bad day. I didn't notice any ties to Half Life 2's story at all. Whether that was the point or not, I was under impression from the community that it connect well... so maybe I just missed it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ idk.

The gameplay is standard HL2; though, I noted that weapons might sound a little different? And recoil feels turned up (which isn't a bad thing. I always thought it was strange Gordon had the recoil control of a god). I was not a fan of the "find the battery" sections, and the "stealth" was not intuitive or fun. The only time that came up was in the sentry maze, but man that was a pain.
I'm convinced the AI can see straight though the bushes that I think are supposed to be used as cover. It feels really bad that a random dude can see you through the bush perfectly, yet to you they are opaque as rocks. Feels super unfair. I also don't think sounds distracted them at all. but that's probably outside of the realm of a short HL2 mod.
I did like the "♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥" part when you make through the maze though. And flipping the sentries was satisfying.

After the stealth part, I thought the game was at it's best. Busting into the resistance stronghold was a super fun challenge needing you to criss-cross the hallway scooby doo style while hiding behind a box, fighting resistance all along the way. The escort mission with the stalker I liked a ton! And the final boss stage was a good ride too.

5/10 starts weak, but steadily ramps up the fun. I'm hoping the sequel is as good as people say.

some maps were god painful and the final boss was eh but its still worth a play, and make sure to continue on with EZ2, one of the greatest mods in HL2

10/10 mod. Would recommend.
