Weirdly enough, I found comfort on this game when I had COVID.

There are already many reviews available for Resident Evil 7: Biohazard. So why should you read mine? For what it's worth, I'm writing this review as someone who thought that RE7 is not a good game...
Overall: RE7 is a perfect survival horror game. The graphics are excellent, the gameplay is challenging, and the story is interesting.
Graphics: Absolutely perfect! I think they combine live action footage with computer generated imagery in the beginning of the game. I'm not sure. Either way, I'm impressed.
Gameplay: Challenging. I haven't died so much in the game, but whenever I died, I recognized some flaw in my playing style which needed to be addressed.
Story: I often cringe at the storytelling in video games; RE7 is a pleasant surprise. I found myself engaged with the story, wanting to know more.
Quibbles: Why in the world can't you manually turn your flashlight on or off? This would have been such a great feature in the game! It gets frustrating when you're walking in near complete darkness, but you know that the protagonist is carrying a flashlight.
Atlast, despite some minor complaints, RE7 comes highly recommended. 10/10

This is the scariest game I've ever played. Will never forget my first playthrough and how terrified of everything I was, it does such a good job at making you feel trapped. Since then, I've done 4 other playthroughs, played all the dlc and will 100% all the content soon. There is something about this game that's so fun and even comforting in a way now. Just a game that needs to be experienced by yourself in a dark room (preferably with no prior knowledge of anything that happens in the game). Please play this game, I cannot recommend it enough. Once in a lifetime experience

This game is the equivalent of being strung up as a pinata and beaten to the brink of death before you're left stranded for a few hours and forced to stare at a wall. Yes, I am speaking from experience, its this game.

Didn't think I'd like it because of the First Person camera, but the story itself is good.
